Background
Nine years in Army as Combat Engineer. I learned some electrical there. DIY completely wired my current house. Have added a sub-panel, on demand hot water heater and DIY electrical car EVSE (with components from Lowe’s and some electric equipment companies. Would like to convert a 1951 Chevy pickup to electric motor, but the battery cost is too high to have much range.
Current or Future Solar Power System
24 BenQ 265W solar modules, two SMA SB3000 grid-tied inverters, Tigo optimizers. I’m doubling the number of solar modules, changing to SMA SB6.0 and SMA SI4548 inverters and two Discover 42 48 6650 48V battery modules.
