I have now tested the one I believe to be the least capacity cell, because it's the one triggering the low voltage protection when the pack is fully discharged.
I did not test this cell when new, so its original capacity is unknown.
Its current capacity is 263.30 Ah, 847.58Wh (test conditions...
Having started look into something similar, do you know the cell chemistry and number of cells of your mower? Mine is also 82V (cramer) but not sure about chemistry and number of cells
Because I intended to use its 230V charger, which means I need an inverter (which needs a battery).
Not sure if the proprietary connector would accept DC voltage from any solar charge controller (do they even exist that can provide 82V?)
The land is 4-5 hectares.
The only reason I see to have a bigger battery is to take advantage of solar production grater than the power that the mower’s charger is able to deliver (let’s say 2kW)
Or for taking advantage of the early morning production, where the peak power hasn’t yet reached the mower’s charger power...
I have an electric zero turn lawn mower with a 24kWh battery. I also have a small shed where the mower can stay when not in used, the roof is about 4m x 3m, enough for 2.4kWp (I don’t think I need that much).
I was making a consideration; the lawn mower is mainly used in the summer because is...
I've finally bought another EBC-A40L and I'm currently testing the same cells I tested 15 months ago.
They have since been cycled 224 times.
I'm using the same logic as before: charge to 3.65V with cut off current of 5A, wait 30 minutes, discharge till 2.5V
Here is a comparison of my first...
How does it work? I have setup the capacity to 280Ah, but the bms triggers low voltage protection when there are around 25Ah left, so it should show 91% SoH.
Has the ‘rated capacity’ or ‘battery capcity’ displayed changed for you?
Do you regularly hit the low voltage protection by any chance?
Yes, I first bought the one from Amazon but then returned because it was becoming very hot at 50A. I ended up buying the Victron one which is much better
It does it on all power levels, but I just noticed that 50% of the times it exports (let’s say 150W), the other 50% it imports those 150W (instead of hovering around 10W)
