As far as protection goes my inverter has a Low Voltage and High voltage shutdown feature and a Low and High temp shutdown. It's not full proof but given the worse case scenario of my inverter shutting down all that's left to drain my batteries is DC current which is pretty low draws in my coach.
I've performed several test on my 4) U27-12XP Wired in Parallel. I started at a float voltage of 13.6 pulled 50 amps continuously. Low Voltage Cut Off set to 10.75. Started at 8:30 am and finished at 6:15 PM when my iPower IC-3000 kick in with a Low Voltage Cut Off setting of 11.75 which...
What float voltage do you recommend? Also, just an FYI for anyone interested. I use my inverted for my battery protection. I have my low voltage cutoff set pretty high so when and if I go below that the only thing pulling from my batteries is my low voltage DC circuits which are mainly my LED...
What is your application? RV with DC draw or Home with AC Only? These batteries where designed for Series connections and that's what the external BMS is for. If you're hooking all in Parallel and no DC draw (home use) then IMO you don't need the external BMS. If you are using them in an RV and...
I have 4 hooked in parallel. After my 62 amp continuous discharge yesterday until Low Voltage cutoff I plugging back into 50 amp shore power. My IC-3000 inverter went to a 112 amp Bulk Charge set to 13.8 volts. After several hours it went to a Absorption charge pushing 70 amps to 14.6 v. That...
