Thanks @SeaGal . I do see the installer has not used a twisted pair on the cat 5 cable, just used the brown and orange wires. There's also no shielding where the wires are connecting. I'll rewire and see what happens.
I just spoke to Growatt who didn't know either but they tested my system...
To confirm my inverter is a Growatt SPH 5000 Hybrid.
I do see the installer cut the CT clamp cable in half, and used a cat 5e cable to extend the length. It's using wago clips to make the connection. Are the 2 wires inside the CT Clamp cable reversable? What I mean if they got switched when he...
Hi, I’m new to this so please forgive me if this is a silly question but…
I had a 10 panel solar system installed with Growatt 5kw hybrid inverter and 6.5kwh Growatt battery.
On day 1 the battery was off (waiting for leads) so during the day I was running on solar only. My smart meter said I...
Hi,
I have an Anker 767 that runs everything I attach to it apart from my Bosch rotary lawn mower.
If I run the lawn mower purely off battery it starts up at half speed and then the inverter cuts off.
If I plug the Anker into the mains with AC input and retry the lawnmower works absolutely...
Yes agreed. My point is i'm not in a super hot country, so my rubber roof and solar panels can handle anything the UK can throw at it, which is mainly rain and wind :) . Still I'll fit the twinwall sheets inbetween just to create some air flow between the two.
So back to the question, does the...
Hi, I have a flat rubber roof on my garden office, and some flexible CIGS solar panels to mount on top.
I intend to stick some polycarbonate twin wall panels to the rubber roof first so the solar panels are not stuck directly to the rubber in case I ever need to replace them, and also to allow...
#1 - I'm obviously not using the device now I know there's a problem.
#2 - The last sentence in @cyd comment is neither helpful or relevant. This problem has been documented from the beginning. There's a huge amount of posts, youtube video's etc highlighing the issue. I am not telling the world...
So I went back to Anker saying I would like to replace my faulty device with a new one, and got this reply...
'we cannot guarantee that the replacement unit dispatched to you will be the new version required. Therefore, we recommend returning the original Powerhouse for our warehouse engineers...
Anyone found this issue in the UK? Seems to be the majority are in US. Anker have responded saying they will repair it for me. Not what I was looking for given it's brand new, a replacement would be better. The retailer I purchased the unit from has another unit that is the same, L-N reversed...
I managed to get the Renogy CIGS panels at £125 each, so at that price I couldn't resist. I need CIGS as they will go on the roof of my garden office which is at it's maximum height planning wise. There was no option to use a normal panel.
CIGS seem a lot more durable, quite efficient, handle...
Hi,
I recently purchased an Anker SOLIX powerhouse 767 (F2000).
I will need an XT60 to MC4 adapter but see a lot online about adapters wired the wrong way. Anyone know which pin on the XT60 output of the Anker 767 is the positive?
I am. To be fair to Anker their opening line on the first email was 'I understand your concern about the Live and Neutral being reversed on your Anker SOLIX F2000. This is indeed a serious issue and I appreciate you bringing it to our attention.' so i'm sure they'll replace it. It's just...
Yes, mine is the same. Makes you wonder how many of these are out there, just people don’t know as they wouldn’t think to test.
I love the unit but can’t be comfortable knowing L-N are reversed.
Hopefully they’ll come back to me soon.
