    Orion 24/12 70A parallel install

If not bus bars than a power post would help the 2/0 transition. How long if a run is the 2/0 wire? Can get these as singles as well. Then just short piece of smaller wire to get onto the oriona...

    Combiner Box Help

Your on a 48 volt system right? Looks like you'll need a 500v controller with potential for 125 amps of charging at 48 volts. The EG4 one would be slightly over paneled with the 100amp charge output. Shouldn't be the end of the world in the PNW as our sun sucks anyways. There is a Schneider...

Victron MPPT RS 450/200 current overshoot

Sounds like at high Inverter loads the MPPT is doings it's job and provide as much power as it can to your inverter load. When the inverter load drops rapidly it takes time for the cerbo/MPPT to react and adjust to your battery charge settings. 150amosnshouldnt hurt 560AH of batteries for a...

How far will your inverter be for m.your batteries? That will help dictate the size of your inverter wiring.

Victron Orion XS DC-DC chargers are shipping - Just got mine!

Ive got a bussman 60 amp breaker((oversized breaker for engine temps) under the hood for my 12/24/15 and 6 gauge wire (ancor marine). I will add a continuous duty solenoid that is controlled by the upfitter. This way it shuts down when the truck shuts down (i didnt get the smart version...

Victron Orion XS DC-DC chargers are shipping - Just got mine!

Are you going to run a heavy relay/solenoid to control the power to the the Orion or run an upfitter switch wired directly to the the Orion on off port?

    Victron to ? For RV

-I understand that one input would be active at a time. the thought was input 1 would be shore power, no ground relay. input 2 for the generator with the ground relay active. only every using one input at a time -The blue seas switch idea would be using this switch...

    Victron to ? For RV

I never thought anything off it and have used portable generators for RVs for years...no issues. It wasnt until i set up the mulitplus that i started to think about it.

    Victron to ? For RV

Hear me out, new to the AC side of stuff but have been pouring over grounding/bonding threads...without a conclusive answer. I just installed a mulitplus in a truck camper and the RV AC panel is unbonded (as it should be). The multiplus is set to use the ground relay when inverting, but not...

    Pre charging Multiplus 3000W

I use a extra blue seas battery switch part number 6011 for my multiplus 3000 combined with a resistor. I turn it to "on", it precharges (i just wait a few seconds) then to "combine" and leave it. Works great so far, have not kicked a BMS out yet. I followed the instructions from this document...

Wondering why're many people still building 12/24v system ?

RVs can be tricky. Many small RVs cant fit enough Solar to runs 48 volt system. The large ones that can, have to run 2 or 3 48/12/30 amp converters to run jacks and levelling systems. But can run panels in series make 48v work. I'm running 24 volts, easier to convert back down to 12 for jacks...

    Swapping old batteries for new!

I'm confused about your old batteries. 18 cells? 16 would be more typical for two 8s packs. If you had 9s packs you charge settings will be 3.2 volts higher than your new batteries need. Also, what was wrong with the old batteries? For sale?

RV 48V to power 12v Loads

Definitely gaps in the 48/12 market. 24 volt more options for power conversion. But the 24v market has it own quirks as well.
