My smart bms s/w on android is showing my battery at 100% charged while the voltage is at 13.4. A renogy battery monitor is reporting 84% which is more realistic. I guess I missed something during the initial BMS setup. How do I set it to report correct SOC? Battery is 4 x eve 280Ah cells...

I already have the controller. Four years now. It doesn't have a lithium profile:( I agree with the points you make and not sure why it is designed that way. Irregardless of the battery type, that is not acceptable.

I haven't dealt with them in a while but when I did they were fantastic. Very fast response. They even shipped me a new controller at one point because my problem was odd and they couldn't resolve it. Turned out it wasn't the controller and the problem was resolved because they stuck right with it.

MorningStar documentation warns that if the BMS drops off charging connection while PV is producing voltage, it will damage the controller (TriStar MPPT specifically). They even go so far as to say that to remedy the situation with a relay to cut of PV from charger likely wouldn't happen fast...

Not sure if I am using this charger properly. I want to charge a 4S bank of 25Ah LIFEP04 using the IMAX B6 V2. Setting the charge "profile" for 4S LiFE only gives me a voltage of 13.2v. I want to charge the pack up to full capacity or just under (14v) I can't figure out how to get the voltage...

When measuring Ir, is there a standard/better SoC to do the measurement? I just want to test a bunch of 80Wh LiFePo4 cells and looking to determine/match the cells based on capacity and Ir. I'm assuming those two tests are sufficient. I have read that meters aren't the best way to determine Ir...

Well I tested the buck converter and the output v was significantly lower than than the input and I couldn't adjust the output as the sparse instructions implied. Sent it back and I will get a variable, regulated power supply instead. On to my next issue ...

I have this small dc buck converter to charge some LiFePO4 cells and it is rated for 3A max. I also have a AC lithium charger rated at 14.5v 40A. Is there any way I can limit the current so it doesn't blow my buck converter or do I have to find a different charger?
