    Purchased from "BATTERY FINDS"

Nope, no bulging. I really don’t care if these are grade A or B or Z. I just want to know if they have the capacity advertised. And if by my error did I loose X number of cycles. At 168ah they are bigger (capacity) than anything ever put in the house battery location in a VW Westfalia, so...

F##K, F##K, F##K Not Happy, I received the $40 load tester from Amazon, yesterday and was very excited to finally see how these 172ah batteries would perform. So prior to testing, I checked the current voltage status and they were just below 3.50 at 3.48vdc. So I thought, I should top balance...

    Purchased from "BATTERY FINDS"

Well I received the balance of my 16 unit order (48v system). I have not recieved the load tester yet so I still can't comment about their true ah rating, but I will say every cell looks perfectly flat and no markings, and they all measured exactly the same at 3.28 vdc. One other observation...

Exactly! And that is why, until I perform a load test to verify the advertised ah, I will hold my trap shut

Okay now you got the better of me thinking about these batteries. The pricing was excellent, if truly grade "A" so, so if not. The other reason I ordered these was that the 173ah were a very unique case size, at at 174-207-40 mm. This size would allow me to place 4x173ah in our VW Westfalia...

    Renogy vs Victron

I really didn’t know . Previously I had FLA locomotive 2.2vdc that were 500ah at 6 hour rate (the FLA std) and a paper chart of what voltage equaled what SOC. I’m now moving into the new battery age. Now with our new CALT 302ah setup I will have both a BMS and a Victron smart shunt with BT...

    Purchased from "BATTERY FINDS"

Well I received the first 3 boxes containing 4 of the 302ah units and 4 of the 173ah units. They look absolutely perfect, no scratches and no bulging and there does not appear to be any funny business with the QR labels. But there were no test reports included, but they did come with all the...

    Renogy vs Victron

I need to update my old Trace C40 solar charge controller. My system will be 48V with LiFePO4 batteries and and currently only 1200w of solar. Which I hope to expand in the future to 2000-3000w. Renogy MPPT controller @ 140vdc 60a input 12/24/36/48 vdc output vs Victron MPPT 150vdc 35a or 40a...

    Purchased from "BATTERY FINDS"

I’m a little confused and concerned by your comments. Before I ordered my battery cells, I had searched this forum for any information about Battery Finds and there not a single post, so I went ahead with my order. I will promise to post detailed photos when they arrive.

Do I fix my Trace SW5548 or purchase a new Victron Quattro 48/5000 or EG4 6000XP or a Growatt 5kW

Thanks for hijacking my thread, I was hoping someone here would know what those two relays are controlling or what triggers them?

    Purchased from "BATTERY FINDS"

Well I can only hope that when they list their products as grade A that they are. I will be scrutinizing these products closely as they are delivered

    Purchased from "BATTERY FINDS"

After reading here on DIY Solar forum the proper method of verifying condition and then assembling a 48vdc battery bank, I have ordered the following from "BATTERY FINDS". I selected them over the "18650 Battery Store" because they as well have a US based warehouse (City of Industry California)...

Do I fix my Trace SW5548 or purchase a new Victron Quattro 48/5000 or EG4 6000XP or a Growatt 5kW

Once cleaned up the PCB’s looked beautiful. No distortions or discoloration.

Well I can tell you that we have had an epic battle with these little critters (average 2-3 in the snap traps every visit) along with several wood rats which are wicked destructive. I will be securing the electrical covers over the terminal bay this time around for sure.
