Cerbo GX analogue output to wi-fi

This may sound like a silly question but what if I want to switch (on/off) a remotely installed water heater via wifi instead of wiring the Cerbo GX analogue output normally used for relays? Is there a built-in function or do I have to convert the analog signal to digital?🤔 I'm sure I'm not the...

Multiplus II - Warnings & Alarms

I had one L1 Overload warning today but no battery warnings, the load was nothing serious, only 1203W on L1. BTW I assume that it's impossible to determine which of the two inverters is generating the warning since they run in parallel or is it? I'm not sure I know what you mean by Exporting the...

Multiplus II - Warnings & Alarms

I have now reconnected the Seplos Can Bus of the 16Kw Battery to Venus, it was disconnected last month after erroneous behaviours between the two battery banks. So far everything seems to run smoothly however I'm not happy about not being able to use data from the smaller 5Kw Odipie battery...

Deep discharge test of 6 different capacity and BMS batteries

One month later - I've been running the two battery packs without any communication with each other or from the Seplos to Venus and I've never had any issues since. However, as stated in my other post here https://diysolarforum.com/threads/multiplus-ii-warnings-alarms.83127/page-2#post-1078933 I...

Multiplus II - Warnings & Alarms

Thanks, I did not have them enabled, probably after the recent parallel reset. I can see them now but they are new to me so I have to understand them better.

Multiplus II - Warnings & Alarms

No ESS, and no connection to the grid at all. In all fairness, I only have a couple of low battery warnings recently as can be seen from the images but many DC ripples.

Multiplus II - Warnings & Alarms

Yes, even mine clears after 20 seconds or so but it happens often, sometimes even twice the same day. Here are the voltage and consumption values at the time of the issue. I assume that the Lynx shunt is the nearest thing to the Inverter voltage as there is no widget for the Multiplus.

Multiplus II - Warnings & Alarms

I assumed that the ripple was due to incomplete suppression of the alternating waveform after rectification as stated in the technical description so the only way for the BMS to create one would be in the form of PWM . . ? Let me check the voltage at the inverter at the time, that is if the...

Multiplus II - Warnings & Alarms

I also have two of these still in the box but I see no difference, I need to dismantle one and check how good the sprung-loaded connection is

These isolators? Victron have similar ones in its range?

Multiplus II - Warnings & Alarms

What I need to understand first of all is how the Victron Multiplus calculates the overload. Are there any settings contributing to the issue that could I have missed? I could understand this happening on one inverter only but since I added the second one running in parallel I now have 10.000...

Multiplus II - Warnings & Alarms

The low battery alarm is more often not in conjunction with the L1 Overload, only sometimes and only under high load demand.

Multiplus II - Warnings & Alarms

Thanks, very interesting discussions on your link however in my case, the problems are multiple but not in combination, I sometimes get a DC ripple, other times a L1 overload and other times low battery warnings even with batteries over 85%. My 16kWh battery is as perfect as it could be, I...

Multiplus II - Warnings & Alarms

I had the same problem when the 16kw battery was not there. Perhaps I should try isolating the 5kw from the system but it makes no scientific sense at all, if one battery was going on its knees for whatever reason, the other one would cover it, especially on such a low demand.
