The thread was about Renogy being scum ....otherwise it would have been titled Renogy Batteries are Shit .... and you will find that ALL products, irrespective of manufacturer work until they don't......
Can't comment on Renogys support and communication other than what I've read, which does...
feeling brave ???? This guy shows how to ditch the 48v requirement altogether, it was a Ukranian starlink repair techie, who worked out that the 48v is only required due to cable length and bypassed the 48v requirement altogether ....
i like the mod, but not so sure about painting the board...
ditch/sell the panels, use the mounting rails and fit less but more capacity panels. for instance if one panel goes faulty, its a lot to trace and replace. new panels are more efficient and dropping in price all the time, so i would def consider buying new.
nothing wrong with buying or using s/h...
i should have said, try some Dimplex Quantum Storage Heaters not the old styel heaters. They look a lot better, but are still big and bulky. there are other makes of a similar standard that may meet his aesthetic 'needs' ...

Is there potential to sell your energy from the remote property to offset the cost at your home? Spending more money on solar at your remote property and getting a good price for it might be worth considering?
I have a 12v 304Ah lithium and a Renogy 3000w inverter in my motorhome (RV).
I can run the kettle and microwave at the same time, which is what I wanted to be able to do, though it rarely happens. I am more than happy with the setup and am slowly migrating to reducing the use of onboard LPG by...
Can't answer the questions re siting your installation but as for the charging issues, get the cheapest rate you can for the longest period (hours) that you can! BUT before you do all that, make sure it makes financial sense, unless you're purely wanting to be environmentally friendly.....
Invest in some Dimplex Storage heaters for the cabin, they are so much better than panel radiators and can be 'charged up' overnight as we do. They can also be set to boost if required. There will be a bit more additional wiring, but it's worth considering. They're also not cheap but as they are...
It's a bit strange how it works, NO physical connection are made and it's just a straight swap, connections wise, from the Sofar to the Sunsynk, albeit with one less CT clamp. The Sunsynk is then set up using the menus and it takes care of itself. I dont yet have a PV system additional to the...
