1.5 watts is barely enough to keep them charged. If it will cook off the electrolyte, I would imagine that would take years.

I have several of the little $20 trickle chargers. They put out 1.5 watts and I just clip them right on the battery terminals. No charge controller. Haven't had a dead battery since on my least used items.

I had an extra Valence XP battery from a project. The 138 amp/hour version. It is the same size as a Group 27 car battery. I dropped it in a boat and it works great.

I guess the right term is hard wire terminals, labeled L1, L2, and neutral. That is the plan, currently. :)

Yes, most commercial servers run 208. I have another APC product called a SURT003 that is a 208 to 110 transformer.
