Help required to estimate VOC of panel strings compatible with inverter

@Hedges and @zanydroid Out of curiosity, I had to give a final test. Attached are the today's test results. Hooked 6S2P panels making ~7000W. The inverter drawn a maximum of ~26.5A and produced ~5900W (6000w designed capacity). No beating or any error was observed. So, I wonder, why 7S2P gave...

Help required to estimate VOC of panel strings compatible with inverter

Dear @Hedges and @zanydroid On advice of my installer, I went to see another system similar to mine. Same Panels of JA solar with similar electrical parameters. Inverter is also of same company as mine with similar specs. Installer installed 10 panels as 5S2P. This setup has only one difference...

Help required to estimate VOC of panel strings compatible with inverter

Should I try to run again all 14 panels as 7S2P?

Help required to estimate VOC of panel strings compatible with inverter

After failure of this particular component, the only thing which happened was the Inverter wasn't detecting solar or AC input. After replacing this part l, it is working normally

Help required to estimate VOC of panel strings compatible with inverter

@zanydroid @Hedges Here is an experiment which I did. These two images show one string consisting of 7S. PV voltage vs PV power, May 20th 2024. At peak production, the voltage remained close to 260-270V. Power produced was around 3400W. Now in this image, booth strings, 7S2P, were...

Help required to estimate VOC of panel strings compatible with inverter

I'm already looking for grid tied inverter, but always find myself stuck at Isc since most of inverters, I have come across, have low Isc.

Help required to estimate VOC of panel strings compatible with inverter

Actually, all the inverters in our market are having same ratings of Isc as I have shared about. I won't like to go for a test, rather would like to buy another inverter. Thanks for your input

Help required to estimate VOC of panel strings compatible with inverter

Dear @Hedges I'm using this inverter for grid feeding only. Haven't attached batteries or utility load with this one. Only purpose of this inverter is to share with the grid whatever it produces. Isc rating of this inverter is 27A My panels have Isc of 15.21A. I have 14 panels at my disposal...

Help required to estimate VOC of panel strings compatible with inverter

They are outside the inverter and like growatt solis etc, these are connections for PV (MC4)

Help required to estimate VOC of panel strings compatible with inverter

I don't know about it yet. The inverter isn't before me and it is uninstalled. These are mc4 connectors for PV inputs and there are two PV inputs. What I know is that it accepts two pv inputs but I don't know if it would allow parallel mode or not. The manual says it will. But I don't see this...

Help required to estimate VOC of panel strings compatible with inverter

The datasheet of inverter says that when the mppts are paralleled, then the mppt range is from 265-800V. That's also written on the sticker of the Inverter. But sticker says nothing about current rating while in parallel mode. It only lists current rating of single mppt. See the pic of sticker

Help required to estimate VOC of panel strings compatible with inverter

Thank you for your help Here are pics of inverter's connections. I see two slots for PV inputs, suggesting it has two mppts. But I don't see any slots for DC jumpers which are shown in the manual for paralleling the mppts. I am attaching pic of manual too. So, how could make them parallel then?
