I put a 12V100Ah LiFePO4 battery and 1500W sine inverter in a box.
The box is for a work-van, I need it for charging batteries for power tools, etc.
BOM
- 12V car plug with usb-c PD 60W
- Battery voltmeter for State of Charge(SoC) estimation. (maybe a coulomb counter would be better?)
- 1500W...
In the work wan(Peugeot Boxer), I have a 12V100Ah LiFePO4 battery box with inverter for charging power tools.
I would like to charge the battery box from the inverter.
Can I use this DC-DC Boost Converter(constant current) instead of more expensive LiFePO4 dc-dc chargers, like this LiTime 12V...
The inverter have a Ø60mm cooling fan. There is a hole in the box where the fan is located.
The battery is from LiTime. They use their own BMS as shown in this teardown. I don't think I'm able to get SoC from it, even though I know the BMS is estimating it.
It is a nice idea, I will keep it in...
