The online device monitor, https://monitor.eg4electronics.com , shows Off-Grid Mode is for zero export when you are grid-tied. Run Without Grid is just that, it will supply power to the Load terminals when there is no grid power.

The EG418kPV would handle the transfer. Would only expect to use the battery for 2 hours during an outage, after that we would be setting up the generator. Would be required to run a well pump and the furnace during the winter.
