I had a hard time finding the little battery box like I got from 18650 last year. So I seen where a member here built one in a Milwaukee Packout.
So I did the same, come out so well I think I will get another packout and transfer my other cells into it.
The cells are 280 rept's from SFK after a...
About the only thing I have really seen is a $120 battery box at solar supply house. Are their other options that are better?
Looking to replace my 2 golf cart batteries with a single 280-300 lifep04.
Thanks
I have a renogy 320 watt 60 cell on the roof of my camper (oem), I am trying to add one more 200-250 watt panel to it in parallel.
Maximum Power at STC* 320 W
Open Circuit Voltage (Voc) 40.10 V
Short Circuit Current (Isc) 10.36 A
Optimum Operating Voltage (Vmp) 32.7 V
Optimum Operating...

Brand new, never installed.
$90.00 Paypal F&F (or cover the fees), I will pay shipping.

My new camper is coming with a renogy 20 amp mppt and 320 watt renogy panel.
I want to add another panel (or 2 depending on voltages) and go to a bigger victron CC like a 100/30 or 100/50.
Question I have is like on the victron 100/30 it says "Nominal pv power" 440 watts. Is that just by the...
I reached out to a vendor asking about the difference between the 304 Grade B and the new grade "A" 280 they have in stock.
I was told that I would get a couple thousand cycles out of the grade "b" (which is more then enough for my rv) but they wouldn't be as well balanced.
Would this be...
I see people doing this all the time on the rv installs. Is this just fine or is there a better choice of what to mount all the solar equipment to in my storage bay?
Will be going with a full system but currently starting with a 100/50, 2k inverter that came in the camper and a lynx power in. I...
I read through the manual for the settings on this this switch but none of the settings is for FLA batteries. Should I be using a custom setting?
System is a 100/30 CC with 2 GC2 six volt batteries.
While my camper is in storage this year I thought I would build it a single battery to replace the 2 six volt golf cart batteries.
Both these are about the same price, both listed as grade A and usa stock at EEL.
Is there a reason to go with 280 eve over the 302 catl or vice versa?
My current set up is a 100/30 and a single 320 watt renogy panel (32.7 vmp, 9.7 Imp) hooked to 2x 6 volt 200 ah GC batteries. I am needing a more power but almost anything that matches the VMP/VOC for my current panel will take me over the 440 watt max of the CC.
IE a friend has 2 X 180 watt...
Can you mix 6 volts and a 12 volt in series/parallel without issues?
I have 2 gc-2's in series currently and the salesman at interstate said I would have no problem adding a 12 volt deep cycle to the mix.
Building a battery and was wondering about the two 6 gauge cables to you hook to a single #2 lug.
I can also just run two 4 awg wires to each lug on the BMS but that would mean stacking the two lugs on the last battery cell.
Which would be the better choice?
Are their any USA vendors better then the others or more importantly ones to stay away from?
Looking to build a 280-300 pack this winter for the rv.
The places I have found it
Docan, Current connected, 18650 and EEL. Any I not buy from or am I missing one I should be considering?
Thanks
Doing my first build and my JK bms has two 6mm holes for lugs on each side. The only "Y" cable I seen was at current connected but its only dual 6 awg so it wouldn't carry the load of a 200 amp bms.
Is there another place that sells bigger Y cables? Is it ok to stack 2 lugs on top of each other...
Total noob and I did search but didnt find much.
My bms has 2 spots for lugs. If I make cables is it ok (or recommended) make two cables and attach both to the battery terminal or should I buy a Y cable?
If so where would I buy such a cable?
Battery build is 280AH cells 4s and a JK 200 amp...
Hello all,
I currently have a 100/30 SmartSolar and am going to add a 100/50 to the system. I already have a Victron Dongle that I can use on the new controller if needed.
Is there any reason to buy a SmartSolar 100/50 over the Bluesolar 100/50 (and use my dongle)?
Ie: does one have better...
I am currently adding a second panel to my charge controller. Since the 320 watt panel that came with the camper has a 32.7 Vmp I have found it to be really hard to match anything to it as close as possible to keep the parallel voltages. Best I came up with is a newpowa 210 watt with a 33.5 vmp...
Has anybody made DIY start switch for their JK BMS? If so what did you use to trigger the bms?
Pics would be great too
I would buy one but it seems the only place you can get them is a slow boat from china.
Thanks

Going to build a 280AH pack for my 5th wheel. I have never built one before but I have read tons on here and being a production electrician I think I can handle it.
I keep seeing 3 names. JBD, Daly and JK BMS's
Which would be good for a first timer?
I was looking at the overkill solar because...
I am looking at building a 280ah battery and I see a local guy on FB is selling them prebuilt for a little less.
The batteries look new but is there any way of telling if he has used it for months before selling it?
