1/0 gauge 300 amp rating or not?

    So, would the 2 at 2/0 = 1 at 4/0, and therefore 2 fuses at 200a = 400a total? Edit - Blue sea has this chart: https://www.bluesea.com/support/articles/Circuit_Protection/1441/Part_2%3A_Select_a_Fuse_and_Fuse_Holder_For_Your_DC_Product_Installation

1/0 gauge 300 amp rating or not?

So this seems to support the claim

1/0 gauge 300 amp rating or not?

So, considering earlier you said 50w a foot would be too hot, and now you calculate 88w would result, i will likely need the 4/0, or would 2/0 do?

1/0 gauge 300 amp rating or not?

Here are just a few of the tables a google search comes up with that suggestion 1/0awg is rated 300amp for around 10ft runs: https://www.offroaders.com/technical/12-volt-wiring-tech-gauge-to-amps/ https://alternatorparts.com/wire-size-chart.html...

1/0 gauge 300 amp rating or not?

I know there are different variables, I am just confused why there are charts online that state 1/0 is 300 amp rated, and to use a t-class 350 amp fuse, and other charts indicate it is not even close. Any help? Here are just a few of the tables a google search comes up with that suggestion...

Bus bar distributor or Anderson connections?

That BLUE SEA 350 amp battery switch is a great suggestion. I may be able to use that for other purposes, like switching power between the fridge and a then a small ac unit. thanks!

Bus bar distributor or Anderson connections?

This is for a battery backup after hurricanes, no solar. I have a 12v 300ah LifePo4, an 85amp charger, and a 4000 watt inverter. I want to power a fridge and a freezer, a few lights and fan, all at night. Possibly an entertainment system. During the day, i will be running the whole house with a...

    Anderson amperage ratings seem off

Maybe someone can clear this up for me, as i used the search function and didnt find clarification. I am looking at Anderson clones on Amazon and the ones with 1/0 terminal pins only have a 175 amp rating. Isnt this a huge bottleneck, considering 1/0awg cable is rated for 300 amps on 10 foot and...

    Small project in Mexico

Hi, so using one Quattro 5000va i could run a few appliances for now as hurricane backup, and have the generator charge batteries during day? And then later add a quattro in parallel and extra batteries to run air conditioning ? How much do you think would be reasonable to be charged to have...

    Small project in Mexico

Very helpful, thanks for taking the time! I am probably going with a Ruixu 48v server rack battery for this initial phase of the build, but you read my mind regarding the end hoal. Do you see the Multiplus being able to switch from grid power to the generator (i will be manually doing this) with...

    Small project in Mexico

I am trying to determine which Victron to use for a battery backup (to later become a small solar system) for my house in Mexico. There are no Victron consultants available to me, other than forums, and others seem generally unsure. I have 240 split phase as two 120 legs in my breaker box. The...

    HiXiMi LiFePO4 Battery?

So, no one with knowledge of the HiXiMi battery? Prolly not a good sign, huh? I was really hoping Will Prowse had done a tear down of it. At this point, after watching his videos, i am not going to buy anything he has not broken open and given a seal of approval to, but i wanted to also hear...

    HiXiMi LiFePO4 Battery?

It's made by the Chinese company "Eve". Anyone with experience? It's practically the only LiFePO4 battery in my price range that i have access to down here in Mexico. I am hoping to power a medium sized fridge and medium sized chest freezer for hurricane aftermaths. Any help very very...
