I just got flagged needing a radio freq or remote battery disconnect for me 4P4S 16x12.8v 250ah setup that is in my garage. Any thoughts besides running 4/0 to outside of house?
How does this work? If I read correctly it’s 36v 500 amp. I need 48v and 400-500 amp. Will it work with 48vEV200A1ANA : Kilovac High Voltage Relays

"Contact Voltage" is 12-900v. "Contact Current" is 500a.How does this work? If I read correctly it’s 36v 500 amp. I need 48v and 400-500 amp. Will it work with 48v
"Contact Voltage" is 12-900v. "Contact Current" is 500a.
The "Coil Voltage" is 9-36, 32-95v, 48-95v volts, depending upon the model. This is the voltage that controls the coil to open or close the Contact. So, you can have a 12v line to an outside switch as a control line. You can get the 32-95v model to run the control line at battery voltage, but then you have more rules you have to follow for the wire protection.
That’s whole setup ?This may do the job for much cheaper.
No as an alternative to the $160 relay. That’s whole setup ?
Ok I got it to try lol if it works I will like it 900% more lolNo as an alternative to the $160 relay.
looks like the same thing, but used.Ok I got it to try lol if it works I will like it 900% more lol
Thanks I sure would like this then running 4/0 through my brick wall.looks like the same thing, but used.
"These were recovered from industrial battery modules."
I'd be ok with used for this purpose. You can remove the fuse since you already have one.
How about this? In reality it’s barely larger than single gain outlet. Also thank you!!!I don't think you need ul listing for 12v. I would get an outdoor rated case, and put a big "stop" button inside. Make it easy for the fire fighter, and a protection against a tree branch hitting it.
Just asked inspector and he said no it specifically has to be UL listed for Solar.I like that.
12v power supply is cheap.
You may be able to piggyback off the RSD.
Inverter should have a 20v RSD circuit.
I think that just covers disconnecting the PV circuits so firefighters can walk the roof without hazards.Midnite solar made the "birdhouse" for this but it looks like they discontinued making it?
