Lifepo4 voltage drop recently

These are my readings now on this new app.

But I don’t plan on using it daily way too technical and I’m afraid I might accidentally change something lol

Change:

Total cycle capacity 280000
balance start voltage to 3400
turn off balance only when charging.
charge under temp 2°C, release 5°C
cell overvoltage to 3650
cell undervoltage 2500

Not "Daily" - DALY is a brand of BMS different from your JBD.

The 3550 "full" voltage means once you achieve 14.2V and all cells are above 3.55V, it will reset to 100%. Additionally, if one cell goes over 3.65V, it will terminate charging and set 100%.

lol no, you misunderstand me. I mean I don’t want to use that app daily only when necessary. I’ll just use my Gorilla app.

Don’t get me wrong I sort of understand most of it but just the fact that you can press a reset button or which was an accident by the way, or touch a box and create a cursor and hit a key. It’s like wow

Yeah, the voltage stopped increasing said it was taking current though. But according to voltmeters it wasn’t, does that make sense?
The voltage will climb very slowly while charging, except when the battery is nearly fully charged at which point the voltage will climb more rapidly. Below about 95% SOC the rate of voltage change is very slow.

It's only when the voltage reaches the desired charge voltage setting that the charge current will begin to taper off.

The battery is not fully charged until both the desired charge voltage has been reached AND the charge current has tapered off to a low level. Usually about 1-2% of the battery Ah rating, e.g. a 280 Ah battery would be considered fully charged when the charge voltage has been reached and the charge current has reduced to ~3-4 A.

Lipo4 takes a lot of current without much voltage rise until its getting close to fully charged.

They think electricity is yummy and can't get enough. 🥰🥰🥰

That shows how depleted the batteries were.

This is correct.
I sort of understand most of it
You sort of seem like you are afraid of dumping current into a battery that doesnt have a noticeable effect on voltage.
While this is a valid concern in a lot of areas of life, it is not a concern when the goal is charging a battery. It means its hungry.

What Wattmatters said is absolutely correct, demonstrable, and safe if your settings are correct. Mostly speaking of total charge voltage and over voltage cell protection settings.

No not at all. I’m just learning a whole bunch all at once and I’ve heard a lot about not charging batteries over 80% online before and it had me all screwed up I guess…

I must agree. I sure have ditched lead acid in a hurry. I can tell you that I’ve had this battery five months and it’s just been peaceful.

So I was reading something today online somewhere about lithium batteries needing to be sealed up and not in your living quarters first I heard that is there anything to this?

But I have to tell you since I downloaded that app there was a reset button and it just recalibrated everything dropped it from 100 to 90% with the same voltage as it was trying to get to when it was at 100 when it hit the wall, so everything looks much more accurate now.
So yesterday at this time I’ve been at 13.15 at 90% and now I’m at 13.33 which tells me there’s 10% room to reach that 14 for possibly without an issue moving forward I’ll check it tomorrow or the next day, whenever it is, I should charge up again.
