Growatt SPF 5000ES on Solar Assistant

The Growatt Shine Phone app has been driving me crazy and I decided to dump it in favour of SA.
Had a Rasp Pi Zero W laying around and decided to accept the 30 day free trial of the software.
Flashed a 16GB SD card and had the whole setup running in under 30 min. What a pleasure !
Will never go back to the Shine crap again.

Unless you are a very Linux savvy technical type, no.

I had Shine on a previous install. Had to stop playing with it due to the urge to start drinking again.
Agree though SA is much better. Not the most powerful and pretty simplistic (as it tries to cross many platforms I assume), but worth it.

Not sure how reliant / dependant you are on the system, but replacing the SD card with an SSD will give a lot more data protection.
