Alibaba LiFePo4 batteries

So I'm trying to look up and to buy one of these batteries RELipower but I can't find any where to buy them can anyone help me out?

How do you pay when you buy from them?

BobB...Set up Paypal for ebay and I have an ING online only A/c they pay me interest see and refund my ATM $2 fees and I put in via the Post Office. You can set up a/c leave $50 say and just pay everything online from that. They can't use the info if there is no money in it worth their time.

Prices are quoted in AUD and paid that way so no extras. Give it a go . Its easy to set up
ING bank online.

Thanks a lot for that info ... I have a Paypal that I use for as many online purchases as I can but the aliexpress and alibaba didn't list that as a payment option.
I will look into the ING account.

I'm just wondering if these batteries are even real. Because for the price $300 they are selling 24v 500ah.

Aliexpress/baba is packed to the gills with ripoff merchants so there's a very high chance anything there is a fake let alone stuff with improbable price / performance.

Just from the product page its either a lifepo4, or a li-ion. Take your pick, the vendor can't decide. Either way odds on it's fake.

if you want them sent by UPS AIR,(approx 5-10 days) they cant be over 30kg.the price sky rockets for.. that reason i bought 2x 250ah. from a company called Eastar Battery they were $250 a piece shipping...the post that said price $629 and free shipping i highly doubt that

I'm usually very protective of who gets my credit card info......I see they do direct payment from a bank account and I was thinking of setting up an account just for the purpose of buying through them and only keep the minimum amount of money in there to cover what I purchase.
With a credit card there is likely to be foreign transaction fees on most cards.

I've only seen foreign transaction fees on a credit card when I was actually in a foreign country. Also, as someone who has had at least 4 credit cards compromised and one check altered I can say that it has never cost me a dime. Your credit card info is just as likely to be lost by Lowe's as at Aliexpress.com. Regardless of who, when or where the credit card company always refunds any bad charges. I would be much more wary of giving out bank account information not to mention the hassle of setting up an account just for this purpose.

BTW, all of my personal experiences with this type of fraud have been from perpetrators in the good old U.S.A. ;-)

In short, I would not let concerns about credit card payment prevent you from taking advantage of some of these good Chinese deals!

So did you get the batteries?

I've gotten 8 cells at 120Ah, from Aliexpress. Listed price $800, with free shipping from China. After a month of waiting, I got word that they were lost in shipping. They shipped a new set. Good thing I wasn't in a rush, it took 3 months from when I first ordered to get them to Colorado. Each cell came individually wrapped in cardboard, and all eight were contained in normal cardboard box - quite heavy. I was surprised that they survived. When I looked them over, they looked pretty used. In communication with the seller, they insisted I was wrong. I now sort of believe him. They must have un-branded them, by pealing off labels and grinding off numbers. They must have tapped their own threads into the battery posts with poor equipment and training, so the posts looked used. One of my 8 cells was slightly dented so the seller refunded me a bit, I was happy to keep it.
I have used the battery for a couple months now. It slightly exceeds the rated capacity, and I would recommend this for a DIY project. It's just a little more stressful with Aliexpress. As for the price, what was listed was what I paid. No shipping, no duty, or tariff, etc..

Everyone really needs to read that PDF. Things haven't improved. Even more recent enterprises in China such as JLCPCB are like it. They carefully curate what they allow vistors to show and what they show visitors but you get a glimpse of the truth when you see their receiving and dispatch area. Its just open to the elements. Blanks and everything sit around it an alley with a very high plastic awning type roof. Wind and rain regularly blow in (not a personal observation, just what I've been told by someone that has actually been there).

I think it boils down to some pretty basic factors:

1. All LiFePO4 cells are made in China. So comments about "Chinese battery quality" could just as well leave out the Chinese part. I haven't seen any that come from anywhere else.
2. If you buy from companies like Battle Born you get the assurance that they have verified their (Chinese) suppliers and if there is a problem they provide a guarantee with your purchase.
3. You pay for the service and the warranty you get in #2 above in the price of the battery.
4. If you buy direct from a Chinese supplier or from Aliexpress.com you will get a lower price but you now bear more risk. The less reputable the supplier the lower the price but the greater the risk.

For me it gets down to risk vs. reward. Everyone's risk level is different, we all have to decide for ourselves where that balance lies.

That's a myth perhaps I can dispel:
The Tesla Gigafactory 1 is a lithium-ion battery and electric vehicle subassembly factory near Reno, Nevada. The facility is owned and operated by Tesla, Inc. to supply the battery packs for its electric vehicles and stationary storage systems.
They're not the exception by any means. See also: https://keepingstock.net/5-companie...ing-lithium-ion-batteries-market-acc2828719f5

1. ..."Chinese battery quality" ...
Quite True! Panasonic 18650's are made in China (and other countries) and they are some of the best batteries in the world today!

...could just as well leave out the Chinese part...
4. If you buy direct from a Chinese supplier or from Aliexpress.com you will get a lower price but you now bear more risk.
Well, is seems you know this point...but for others... China doesn't have the same regulations as other countries (e.g., datasheet enforcement). While there are really good companies producing great products at low prices in China, there are also other sellers undercutting them with used or even defective cells; hence the "risk". When I see "cheap Chinese cells", I don't see that as being disparaging against a great nation; it's more of a buyer-be-ware warning as regulations are different.

I got a quote for 12v 100 ah LifePo4 for $265 each + shipping.

Shipping to Miami port (I can drive/pick up) was $285 for up to 500 KG (30 batteries)

I wonder if they have low temp disconnect. I don't see it mentioned anywhere

Sellers on Ebay want 120.00 to ship the 24 volt MPP Solar unit you recommended on your website. Is there anywhere you avoid that charge?
Can you tell me the names of the rebranded mfg's of this product?
