Just Place new Order on Alibaba- 280AH x 8 for 1260.00 USD Delivered, Grade A to Canada

Sounds like he is jealous we have gotten our grade A cells and now he is having issues. Weird to disrespect without any facts to backup...People on these threads rarely act that way. I am not in looove with Amy...but I respect her as she kept her promises on all of my orders
I know part of it is just cultural differences, in the way Amy communicates with us, and the pleasantries she uses.
But beyond that I get the feeling she is just a nice person, too.

OFF TOPIC ~sorta ~
I built a relationship with Amy over a period of time. We have communicated about many things, not just the cells. I have tried to help her navigate some of the quirks and that resulted in better service & results for everyone... even the little things like putting a customer name card with the cells when she is testing & packing.... doubling the boxes to protect the cells... getting her to toss in the bus bars & bolts kits.... Now she is sourcing cases and other things to be able to offer to folks. I have rarely seen such from other vendors..... a couple yes but most wouldn't bother. The relationship I built with Amy helped everyone here and I GET NOTHING FOR IT EITHER ! I ask for nothing and expect nothing, I help because I want to see people move forward and gain freedoms by using solar... Also because I am very concerned about the planet's future and I do have 3 surviving daughters (20, 18,16) and they may decide to have families of their own someday.

Some folks have been quite mean & nasty to Amy, right from the get go but she's always taken the high road. You would not believe some of the crap tossed her way and the things said to her... IF it was me receiving that pile, I would have cancelled the orders and sent them packing off.... or doubled that sale price... but I am a retired & crusty Curmudgeon !

I have dealt with people from all over the world and many varied cultures over the decades and that allows me to relate better to others around the world and deal with them. The Chinese are VERY easy to get along with and work with too BUT you "must" understand them to do so effectively. Their business methodology & philosophy is NOT that of the "Western" societies and if one doesn't get that, they will ever be successful with Chinese Business. The Taiwanese are also very different in their manner & ways, as are Europeans and Indian's (from India). NONE will change their ways to do it how you want, one must understand how to do it their way.

How have you guys figured out how to pay for these? I tried 2 credit cards, one from Citi and one from Chase, both were rejected. It's not a problem right now because they have no cells. I'm just trying to figure out how to pay for them around the 10th of April.

Good thing about Xuba is they seem to tell the truth rather than scam people. I wanted order quickly and she said they are out of stock but also got back saying some batteries they have now is performing well but have very slight dents and sent me picture and video of the cell. While I might not order I appreciate their honesty. They could have easily shipped saying they are perfect and later told it might have happened in shipping so we do not care, like someone who got 1V batteries..

Note: I havent dealt with other suppliers so cannot say anything about others..

It seems that the sure ticket is a Capital 1 credit card, either Visa or Master Card issued by them. I just happened to use that card for random internet orders and only that. That way if the card gets hacked, it's not tied to anything else.

Easy, you need to appeal the credit card decline and they then ask for photo of front of your card and then your DL. Upload and Alibaba will then allow card to be run.

I've just finished getting an order set up. Amy said 5000 batteries are coming on April 5th.

I'm also attaching a picture of my order. The posts look good. Seems like the casing is lifting a bit at the corners but I'm not expecting perfection at these prices.

That isn't the casing. The casing is aluminium, The blue on the sides is a heat shrunk plastic covering, the top black is a an adhesive backed covering. You can actually pull it back to expose the aluminium (won't glue down again, if you do).

The Canadian dollar took a beating today but this is still a great deal...8 cells are on the way.....$660USD + $552 shipping.
Amy now thinks new stock will be before April 5th.. the EVE factory just got back to work.

I'm probably gonna be kicking myself for not ordering 8 cells instead of the 4 I did.
I don't think the shipping would have been that much more for 8 over 4.
Oh well, 280AH is a lot more than two 100AH batteries that I was thinking about building.

Shipping is based on weight - so you would NOT have saved much by doing 8 over 4 -- if that makes you feel better

WTH?? Obviously you trust the Chinese a little more than I do (sarcasm - see picture) BUT I would NEVER send a picture of my drivers license at all to anyone - ever ... with your CC info and then your DL info -- they can do wonders with it ... but then again .. thats just me ...

I do appreciate all the great work u have done talking to Amy and Xuba ... i have also helped a few companies out that could not understand what ppl were trying to order and then were getting upset when the order would not go thru ... I will tell you ... Born and raised in LA so my English is pretty good -- and I was even lost -- and I don't mean a little confused -- I mean - WTF lost !!! BUT yes .. some of these girls take a beating for no reason ... They are better than me ... i'm not sure whats lower than Grade-B but i would find those and THATS what I would be sending .,.. LOL:

That I a bummer BUT a good thing too... They would not flog bad cells out the door !
I haven't spoke to Amy recently but I would take this as further reassurance they are not flogging stuff.

Others do carry EVE 280AH cells but we have heard that some are not quite as advertised, sorry but I forget which companies.

There is one competitor here:
4pcs/batch LF280 LEP 3.2V 280A US$328.00 + US$240.00 S&H = US$568.00
That is $82 per cell. $142 per cell with S&H * Verify Quality & Grade Status in writing.
Are they any good from this vendor ? I don't know. I believe a few people got some of these.

I know these guys ... good company ... https://www.alibaba.com/product-det...ue&spm=a2700.icbuShop.41413.19.7123112aOjQEhx ... pretty good english ... quick shipping ... not a manufacturer but obviously can get a good price for Grade-A's ...

That's good new as I just ordered. Salesperson is named "Rain". Hope all goes well.
I have been talking with Rain. Good price and good number - 1C standard discharge rate; 3C max discharge rate. However, I can not get him to give me the date of manufacture of the cells. He did show a voltage measure of a cell, which showed 3.29V and 4.2 mOhms.

Thanks, that does make me feel better.
I was thinking how combined orders in the US are cheaper than separate orders.

Really, Alibaba is who you send it to not the vendor. Alibaba is like Amazon. This is standard in many huge world companies to prevent fraud.

It is not an email to some person. It is the built in system part of Alibaba that you submit the pictures to. Paranoid people.
