I have 2 Deye 8k inverters in a fully off grid house. I have a propane generator tied to the grid input and a smart load tied to the gen input for my EV charger. But I have never been able to get the generator to turn on. Even if it’s running it will show 1watt coming from “the grid” but it won’t charge the batteries.

Any advice on what my settings should be so that the generator kicks on every time the batteries get below 20% and charges them to 50%?

You will need to have all the gen charge boxes checked in the TOU section.

Great - I'll give that a try.... I wasn't using the TOU section at all.
What country are you from? You should share your settings with others as well. I know the Deye and the Megarevo units are identical.

I'm in the US - I can share my settings... just need to get back there and write them down.

Where in the US? What was your supplier? Is the Deye UL certified? I'm asking because I would like a Deye unit, but with the HV hybrid inverter, but not sure if they have these in the US like Megarevo does.

I bought mine from Rosen Solar in China, but they will no longer sell to US (I bought them over a year ago). Not sure if they are UL certified, but I am completely off-grid, so didn't really need that certification.

True, don't need that safety aspect when you're the power source! I figured as I wasn't able to find a US supplier for the Deye units.

i have sunsynk ( same as sol-ark/deye)

megarevo is a complete different device, in hardware, software and manufactorer

originally fla. , now living in europe

I'm assuming the Sunsynk is for European models correct?
and sa , australia, new sealand, south america, uk and asia

it doesnt change the fact that megarevo is completely different.

deye and sunsynk in any shape or form are simply not available in split phase other than sol-ark
