Beginner MC4 Question

Posted this elsewhere but thought it should be here instead,

I bought some MC4 connectors from ebay and have had no problem connecting and disconnecting them.

The connectors on the back of my solar panels look different and have no place to pinch to open them. They look like the picture below.
I couldn't detach them by pulling with hand pressure. I don't want to damage anything by putting too much force on them with pliers, unless they can take it. I am concerned that they have locked together, and I am ignorant as to how to get them unlocked.

No, these were the connectors that came installed on the back of my Trina panels.

I finally figured it out. See the slots on the connector ends. That is where the female clips 'penetrated'. The tabs you press are on the other side, but covered by a plastic layer so that you have to insert a small needle nose plier in from the side and squeeze to release.
 
Don't worry John I've got the same panels, same connectors , tool me a minute to figure it out also lol
 
There are tools (plastic simple contraptions) that are easily used to disconnect available online. That “plastic layer” could also be removed if wanted but hopefully not.
