Greetings Energy Experts,

I'm looking for recommendations for a reasonably priced smart battery charger, that can top off my battery bank of two 12V 130Ah sealed deep cycle lead acid batteries in parallel overnight when not under load. Batteries have voltage drop protection to prevent discharge below 50%.

The plan is to use a 24hr 7 day event timer for switching on/off and I'm thinking minimum 10A charger size(?)

Must be Amazon/eBay or shippable to the UK for use with 220-240V grid.

Cheers

Assuming you start with 50% discharge, you need to charge 130ah. 130÷15=8.66 hours minimum to charge using a 15 amp charger. (Not accounting for any voltage drops or inefficiencies). Here is a quality unit on Amazon.

COTEK CX1215 12 VOLT 15 AMP 4 STAGE SINGLE BANK AUTOMATIC BATTERY CHARGER / POWER SUPPLY https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B00F9DTR4I/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_w5EHDbP886XWV

Cotek is a well made product with a good reputation. This unit has a 90~264VAC input range and should work in the UK, but you may have to use a plug adapter.

If you want faster charging, there is a 25 amp model for $20 more.

COTEK CX1225 12 VOLT 25 AMP 4 STAGE DUAL BANK AUTOMATIC BATTERY CHARGER / POWER SUPPLY https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B00F9DTUW2/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_ieFHDb867N6EG

Thank you, that simple bit of math will help a lot. Unfortunately the $73 shipping on top of the $175 cost of the charger, is a bit more than I wish to pay; however, the net cost together with specification will be a good indicator on the quality I am looking for.
