1 Purchase. Flawlessly executed. Great price. My only experience with SS and their CS gave good updates as to delivery.

Love this thread. Human nature; Far rarer do people post their good experiences than the relatively few that go side ways, and then some people just make stuff up, leave out details or context.

The season of LOVE continues in NY tonight.

He said his order was cancelled - SS admits this - I agree.

He said he didn't know why - SS admits this - I disagree. He spoke to several employees during the incident, and while investigating this post, I located several attempts at written and verbal communication by SS associates with the customer without response.

He said he tried to contact them to find out why - SS is known for this - We will own up to where we have fallen short in the past, however, upon reviewing our system, we found no record of incoming calls from the customer's number.

He said he couldn't get anyone to talk to him about it - SS is known for this -

This is the email sent by our customer verification department to notify the customer of a flagged order:

"Hey there,

To begin, we thank you for choosing Signature Solar and purchasing with us. But, our automated payment system has flagged your order. We will need to do a simple verification to make sure you are the one making this purchase.

In order for us to move forward with processing your order, we will need a form of ID that matches the name of the Card Holder and ALL names/addresses on your order to verify authenticity. At this time we can only accept government-issued IDs (your pertinent information can be hidden, all we need is your name, address, and picture).

Your information will not be shared, sold, rented, or used by anybody but Signature Solar

If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us."

... but if you look on the forum without logging on you will see SS are an advertiser on here, with banners on the top and bottom of every single thread page. So they are doing us a favour by helping pay for the site.

Am I missing something?

And there you go..
Seems the same non sense they tried to pull on Dexter every once in a while here too...

Publicly complain in hopes you might get what you desire , because the supplier get afraid for bad pr...

@Will Prowse I believe you had some rules about this kind of behavior without proof ( although that was for battery/cell claims).
After the amounts of topics like these, maybe a good idea to require proof for topics like these ?
The moment I saw this thread I requested evidence as always. I am very strict about that. I hope people report when members assert claims without evidence.

It seems to me that SignatureSolar gets plenty of praise here on the forum. They have some pretty staunch defenders and attackers. I'm sure they could get even more if they asked their satisfied customers to post a review of their shopping experience here for a small discount on a future order. :ROFLMAO:

I guess one option, whilst awaiting evidence, could be for a mod to put the thread into quarantine, pending evidence? Puts more pressure on the mods though - but in this case the OP still hasn't responded.

Nothing like paid endorsements to ensure candor.

The best endorsements are from people who want the vendor to succeed.

If anyone's report earns them something in return, that ought to be stated in their posting.

Does that go the opposite direction? The best negative endorsements are from people who want the vendor to fail?

I agree. That's why Amazon is flooded with 5 star reviews for cheap Chinese manufactured products. I don't like the practice.

Only if they're selling short (which works best for publicly traded companies).
I suppose being a competitor is next best.

I read of someone who was shorting an electronics company. Then he saw an ad for electronic components, called it, was answered by same company. They were selling materials to raise cash and stay afloat. Not building and selling product.

Selling short is scary. Maximum gain is only to zero, where as it can go to infinity in the other direction.

I tried shorting Peloton stock directly a while back. I would have made a killing on it, but the market remained irrational longer than I could remain solvent. I got scared and had to bail on my position when it seemed like the world was taking crazy pills. Eventually the market came around to my way of thinking.. but too late for me. Since then I don't short stock directly, only through options if I'm really feeling it.

You have to read the reviews on Amazon, quite a few of them, to get anything meaningful from them. The star rating is useless. I used to find reading the Q&A with the seller useful, but for some reason I can't see all the questions and answers anymore.

Why’s it marked “resolved”? OP needs to be given some time to respond. SMS we are still waiting to see if OP did dish with them after order was cancelled. Or did I miss something?
