I can continue playing with settings to see if I can make that hybrid mode occur. I will be careful about back feeding. I may have to use a different AC source to truly prevent that. my system is not plugged into the standard meter full time though.

@Mattb4 I have not been able to create that function yet. I can ask PowMR staff how to though. I am in a whatsapp chat with one. they have been responsive and helpful - far more than i expected.

I didn't have any AC input at the time of this photo. I can get some later this week in other modes. you can see in this mode that the solar PV is charging the battery and also supplying the loads. Basically running in off grid mode.

It isn't. I did a bunch of tests and realized that I hand the incorrect charge settings activated on the AIO. I was able to get it to charge the battery and will see if the panels charge the batteries properly tomorrow. :fp2 Was a silly error, but all is well. I am still learning what each...

I have enabled that mode in option 34 and have not seen this icon show up like that. I haven't tried turning it off and on to see if it would change yet either.

what software are you using to connect to the PowMr AIO? Also, how do you 'turn on' the setting that uses PV to charge the battery and powers things in the house at the same time?

@Mattb4 update. at home its not showing as generating in AIO. Open circuit voltage at 156 edit: I am dumb. i took away ac input and it works now. new thread on AIO settings probably good idea

@timselectric Aren't you the resident forum electrician? How bad is this wiring? I don't intend it to stay in this position for super long period of time, but want to keep any fire risks to an absolute minimum. it is clearly not to code. but I still think I should get near it, if that makes sense.

i'm not touching anything else in the main panel aside from putting that ground rod in the lower bar. I almost have it there.

I only wanted to connect the ground to the ground rod. apparently you aren't supposed to have more than one or something and its ok to do this. at least i was told in another thread.

There are two separate bars in the main panel. Here is the one in the sub panel. it looks insulated to me.

would that cause any conflict with with those wires at the bottom if they touched or am i just being paranoid?

It looks insulated from the box to me.
