Help me understand how to properly ground my system (diy skoolie)...

I'm having the hardest time understanding how to properly ground my system. I have a school bus conversion with a full off-grid system. Below is my system: Renogy 550w Panels (4) Eg4 48v 100ah batteries (2) Victron Charge Controller Victron Lynx Shunt Victron Lynx Distributor Victron...

Firmware on the new EG4 LL V2 batteries

Any luck? I can't seem to get my cerbo read my batteries either

EG4 LL BMS to Victron Cerbo

Ah I did see this. I have the LL V2, curious if the same problem is occuring with these?

EG4 LL BMS to Victron Cerbo

Thanks I'll give this a try. Just curious, what makes you think they won't be in business much longer?

EG4 LL BMS to Victron Cerbo

Did you end up making your own cable? or buying the one from Signature Solar? I'd love to make my own but not sure which wires need to go where on the Cerbo side.

EG4 LL BMS to Victron Cerbo

Any chance you can make a video of this? I swear I've tried every option I could think of and can't get the screen to appear

Looking for some feedback on my wiring diagram (48v system)

I actually have a Cerbo, but didn't add it here since it's just communication wires. I also just track voltage instead of percentage, but the batteries do have a screen on them that show the percentage. I think these are the main components I care about at this point, I may add others in the...

Looking for some feedback on my wiring diagram (48v system)

I'm currently building a system for my skoolie build (school bus tiny home) and I'm looking for a second eye on my wiring diagram. I'm doing a 48v system with Victron Components, (2) EG4 server rack batteries paired 2200 watts of panels via 2 strings. My charge controller is overkill (by a good...

    Debating all-in-one vs charge controller+multiplus...

We boondock 99% of the time (full timers), so the efficiency is what is most important for us.

    Debating all-in-one vs charge controller+multiplus...

I'm building out my second rv system and I'm planning to with two (2) 48v solar rack batteries paired with 2200w of panels (Renogy 550w). Originally I was going to do a separate Victron charge controller paired with the Multiplus II. However, now I am wondering if an all-in-one (EG4) is a better...

Need help with wiring distribution panel (bonded vs non bonded)

I'm starting run my wiring for my setup in a skoolie (school bus tiny home). After doing some research I'm now completely confused on how I should wire my distribution panel, and whether or not I need to bond neutral with ground or wire them on separate bus bars. Below is my system for better...

Any third-party software available for MPP solar systems?

@NCblueridge Nope, nothing. That's where I'm lost. In your case, you could always use bootcamp, OR find a super cheap Windows laptop or tablet to run it through that. I have a battery meter I look at to see where my batteries at because that's all I really need once my settings are placed.

    Float charging LifePo4

@erik.calco Good to know. This is a similar setting I had, but BB told me I should be reaching 28.8 to top balance. My batteries are in parallel though so I don't think I should have to worry about balancing as they were balanced when I installed them and over time they should balance anyhow...

Random clicking coming from MPP Solar 24V system. Is this normal?

@snoobler this happens both on gird power and solar

Any third-party software available for MPP solar systems?

@NCblueridge The app "runs" but doesn't connect to USB for whatever reason to show me any data. On windows it's fine so I know the cable works. I've tried different ports on my mac as well. I have not reached out, not entirely sure who to reach out to honestly.

    Float charging LifePo4

@Zen How has this been working for you? I've been having the same issue and Battleborn informed me I should be seeing 28.8 to ensure cell balancing (though I am using 24v batteries so they shouldn't fall out of balance very easily). Will setting my float to 28.8 fix my issue to be able to use...

Random clicking coming from MPP Solar 24V system. Is this normal?

Every few hours, there is this clicking sound coming from the inverter. It sounds the same as when you turn the inverter on or off and the click you hear when it initiates, but I think it's a little louder. It may be a surge from the fridge (though I can't hear when the fridge kicks on), but it...

Any third-party software available for MPP solar systems?

I still can't get either version of their software to work on MacOS. It seems the last few versions aren't supported or something.

Any third-party software available for MPP solar systems?

I have the MPP Solar 2424LV-MSD, and while it's been great so far, the software is just...well not so great. For one, the mac app doesn't seem to work no matter what I do. The windows app is fine, but I don't use windows very often. I would love something else that is more modern and...

Converting a bus into a tiny home. Help me solidify my wiring diagram!?

Good call on the power drop, that was definitely a concern. Would it be smarter to go with two arrays of 200ah at 48v, or four arrays at 100ah at 24v? Also, the 250A fuse makes sense. I have one placed on pos and neg (not sure if needed or helps). I realize my battery setup is 200ah at 24v...

Converting a bus into a tiny home. Help me solidify my wiring diagram!?

Is there something I'm missing? wiring in series would give me 96v coming in, giving me over 50v to work with. Also, I have a 150A breaker switch on the positive and negative terminals of the battery. Is there a reason you think 250A is better?

Converting a bus into a tiny home. Help me solidify my wiring diagram!?

We realized we have room for eight 100w panels. We already purchased six, just need to add two more. What are your thoughts? Any issues? Anything missing? Solar Inverter we will be using -...

Has anyone used these batteries on ebay?

Yea, I thought they looked a bit odd, though the carrying handle is a nice touch. I assume you are referring to this battery from Ruixu? This is the first I'm hearing of them. Is this something you recommend or do you think Battle Born is the way to go? I certainly don't want to cheap out on...

Has anyone used these batteries on ebay?

The price is just right, curious if they are as good or comparable to Battle Born? Link - Lithium 12v 100Ah LiFePO4 Deep Cycle Battery BMS From the seller - The spec sheet says - Cycle life @ 80% DoD to remaining capacity 80% 4000Cycles - Maximum Continuous Discharge Current 70-80A - Peak...
