    Redodo 200Ah Plus charging

Follow up post, battery has worked great! I threw the Progressive dynamics away it was junk in my opinion since they changed the charging program. I replaced it with a 50 amp Recpro adjustable charger that has worked well.

    Redodo 200Ah Plus charging

It isnt the battery, its the Progressive dynamics charger, they changed the charge pattern to 2 stage, I was only averaging about 13 amps an hour (I just checked my log it took 5.5 hours to put 71 hours back in), I contacted them and they said " It is possible to manually activate charge mode...

    Redodo 200Ah Plus charging

I just received my Redodo 200ah Plus with 200a BMS. The battery arrived at 13.1v so I guess about 40%, I was told by them that it will accept up to 100 amps charging but they recommend 40 amps, so I am using a progressive dynamics 9160ALV which is 14.6v capable and 60 amps. I turn it on and the...

    Fridge kicks off inverter

I think maybe I found it. She has 3 outlets connected to the inverter and one of them had the wires reversed. When I put my plug checker in it showed reverse polarity, so I started pulling the outlets and the last one on the line had the wires reversed. I fixed that and plugged the fridge back...

    Fridge kicks off inverter

2/0 to inverter from lithiums, and 14ga is standard in housing for 15 amp circuits feeding full size fridges, I dont think either of those is the issue.

    Fridge kicks off inverter

I am going there next Tim, it isnt a high quality inverter. As it sits now she has the inverter grounded to the chassis but not the battery that I have seen and her 110volt outlets I dont see any grounding outside of the GFI on the inverter. Would the battery need to be chassis bonded, What...

    Fridge kicks off inverter

No message at all it just turns it off. The fridge is within 4' of the inverter so I dont think it is undersize wire, she has 14ga which should handle 15 amps no problem. I have to get a copy of the manual offline cause she thinks she threw it away, I wanna check and make sure that it doesnt...

    Fridge kicks off inverter

No, its a chinese inverter but says 3000watt surge. Dont really know when it kicks it off but most likely when the compressor kicks on but just strange that my 1000 would run it. And for reference the GFI has never popped.

    Fridge kicks off inverter

I gave my friend a small apartment fridge out of our rv, we replaced it with a freezer so the fridge runs fine. She has a 1500 watt pure sine wave inverter, 200 am hours of lithium batteries and 400watts of solar. The fridge in my rv was powered by a 1000watt inverter and was never an issue but...

    Thermistor wire for temp

But if you hooked it up it hurts nothing I assume? I didnt hook it up on mine but just wanted some info on why or if there is a reason it shouldnt be. Thanks in advance

    Thermistor wire for temp

Tim, I think that is probably what it was. Thanks for info! Would it not be used because the BMS monitors it??

    Thermistor wire for temp

Good question Bud, seems to me it was a wire that came with the meter or charger but I think it was the meter that said not to use it. I think it is the current Victron meter I have, maybe the 712?? So pretty sure it had a lug on it to connect to the positive of battery

    Thermistor wire for temp

So it seems like I have seen a couple times that the temp sensor shouldnt be connected to lithium batteries, I think my xantrex or Victron monitor may have been one but is there a particular reason or am I dreaming? Thanks for the input!

    Battleborn vs. Lifeblue

Yes it is now, last year they changed it. The info I had was saved in a file on batteries and I pulled it from there.

    How does this affect watts

I think you are still dealing with 600 watts just your voltage is different your amps should be the same. Just being in series you can use smaller gage wire if you have to. Problem with panels in series that I have noticed is if one gets shaded it great degrades its output more so than when just...

    Battleborn vs. Lifeblue

I have had 2 Lifeblue 200ah batteries for about a year now. They have worked flawless. I am sitting in Arizona now east of Quartzsite, we run off our solar often but not every day as we are in a park that has electric available. We often use the solar to provide until we need the AC, but on days...
