    Hightech solar panels

Going with an LG NeON 2 405W which fits the space we have perfectly. The Hitech square panels would have worked but sadly two of the regular rectangular ones won’t.

Connecting Multiplus to RPI running Venux GX?

I really want to do this for our upcoming MultiPlus 24/2000 install as the GX hardware is pricey. I’m pretty high on the geek scale but from what I’ve read it’s kind of a pain, finicky and lacking in official support. I’m thinking practicality and working out of the box might win out versus fun...

    Victron Multiplus in Tight Spaces.

Planning to put a MultiPlus 24/2000 in a similarly small space so this is good info. Increased ventilation was already in the plans but current design has it horizontal in a bench. I thought I had read horizontal was ok with adequate airflow but now I’m doubting myself and thinking an email to...

    Hightech solar panels

Sorry to hear that, glad you’re ok otherwise! I was really excited to get some of their 200W square panels. I messaged the guy on eBay back in December and was told they were waiting on glass to make more of them. They’ve never appeared on their page and he didn’t respond to my last two...

    1600W on Transit LWB HR

This is amazing, nice job! We have an older van so our roof space is limited. We're going with one 405W panel up top and have been toying with the idea of stacking two of them and sliding them out 50% in either direction. This really makes me want to pursue the idea haha.

Amazon says the Mobile Solar Power Made Easy does NOT come with a free Kindle version.

Ah bummer! I got the book in December and have been meaning to email about it because I couldn’t find where to get the kindle version. I probably would have just bought the kindle version instead.

    Jinko 400W

Anyone have experience with these Jinko 400W panels? https://www.santansolar.com/product/jinko-400w/ Jinko appears to be one of the biggest solar manufacturers in the world. $200 is a nice price for 400W. My Intended application would be one panel on the roof of my camper van.

    Hightech solar panels

Is eBay where people are getting these primarily? I’ve been watching listings by fred480v and am leaning towards the 200W panels. I was intrigued by the square ones but they haven’t been listed for a while. Currently you can get two of the rectangular panels for $320 which seems like a solid deal.

Victron MultiPlus Compact 24/2000/50 Continuous Load

Thank you @Justin Laureltec! After all my research I had a feeling that was the case, Victron being more honest about specs and real world capabilities. I’ve definitely overloaded myself on info during this process so having knowledgeable people to lean on is much appreciated!

Victron MultiPlus Compact 24/2000/50 Continuous Load

I’ve been meaning to but I haven’t yet. I guess I’m planning on worst case scenario currently.

Victron MultiPlus Compact 24/2000/50 Continuous Load

I'm trying to design a setup that can power a 1440W blender for a few minutes at a time and have a continuous load question. I'm currently leaning towards the Victron MultiPlus Compact 24/2000/50 (fed by two 12V 100Ah Battleborns in series) but in the spec sheet it lists a continuous output of...

Does 24V make sense for a 400W 200Ah campervan setup?

Yah we’d plan for doing exactly that.

Does 24V make sense for a 400W 200Ah campervan setup?

We’re looking to make some solar upgrades to an old campervan and are leaning towards a 24V setup but wonder if it makes sense. To start we’re looking at two 200W panels and two 100Ah LiFePO4 batteries which is smaller than what people typically seem to do 24V for. Our thinking is we’d benefit...

Renogy batteries - 100ah $649 is it a good deal?

I think they’re mixing up Renogy with Ruixu which are the cells the latest video is about.

Renogy DC DC Charger w/ MPPT

I sent Renogy an email with my question and here’s what they had to say: I honestly didn’t know that was a thing, although it makes sense. Here’s a link I found explaining it more for anyone interested...

Renogy batteries - 100ah $649 is it a good deal?

Yah, for my application I don’t think it’s an issue but having the option in the future should they get repurposed would be nice. It’s essentially a $500 difference (for 300Ah) for an extra 5 years of warranty and the ability to serial with the Battleborns.

Renogy batteries - 100ah $649 is it a good deal?

Oh nice catch! I didn’t notice the smart ones had low temp cutoff as well. I’m certainly drawn to the Battleborns with their reputation, popularity, warranty but these are are very enticing at this price and seem like a solid option.

Renogy batteries - 100ah $649 is it a good deal?

I’ve seen it too, was hoping for additional real world experience wither either version to sway me. Maybe we can convince @Will Prowse to acquire one of each to take apart before the sale ends... :)

Renogy DC DC Charger w/ MPPT

Can someone confirm my thinking here? I’m looking at these 200W Hightec panels on eBay which were $320 for two panels yesterday, currently $370: https://www.ebay.com/itm/2-200-Watt-12-Volt-Battery-Charger-Solar-Panel-Off-Grid-RV-Boat-400-watt-total-/264238196616 They’re listed as having...

Renogy batteries - 100ah $649 is it a good deal?

Haha I just finally registered to ask this same question. I’m looking at $699 for the old version or the new "smart" version with built in balancing for $787 with tax. I haven’t found much info on the new version but in general the downsides of these compared to Battleborn seem to be 5 year...
