    Midea U 12k power from DC (IT WORKS!!!)

    Interesting. So it may not care what the AC frequency is. Wonder if you could use one of these simple HF converters? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0B6Q7L3TF/ref=twister_B0BL425KTV?_encoding=UTF8&th=1 It's 20khz instead of 60hz, but if all the air conditioner unit is doing is rectifying then seems...

    LOL, check this out. TimeUSB battery with LiTime silkscreened on the BMS

    Prismatic versus pouch cells?

    Yes, Redodo, LiTime, and PowerQueen MINI's all have the compression plates. They all have the same guts, case, BMS, etc..

    Standard vs Mini / prismatic vs pouch

    I would try to get that replaced from PQ. The manual states charging voltage 14.4 +/- 0.2 So if it will not charge to at least 14.2v after giving it some time to balance I'd ask for a replacement.

    Prismatic versus pouch cells?

    Here's the cells from the Mini batteries. 4 cell group = 100Ah

    newbe here

    You're welcome, glad you like them :) On the max load, if you know to keep it under 130A you're fine. You might want to consider as your battery bank drains, and you get close to your low voltage cutoff on your inverter, usually around 10.5v you'll be pulling more current to keep up with the...

    newbe here

    Cool little system! Only thing I would say is your 2000w inverter will be a little more power hungry (when loaded heavy) than your system will be able to provide.

    Real 320Ah LiFePO4 Prismatic Cells

    From REPT they call the new process to achieve this capacity Wending. They sent me some for testing, here's the result: https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/rept-battero-and-powin-team-up-with-320ah-wending-energy-battery-for-8-4gwh-indonesian-cell-procurement-project-301926331.html Also...

    Sun tracking solar panel mount/kits.. why are they not more common?

    I'm hoping to update my tracker with bi-facials soon. I'll for sure make a video.

    Sun tracking solar panel mount/kits.. why are they not more common?

    I agree buying more panels can be cheaper/easier. But space, if you don't have the space for more panels a tracker is a viable option. And also consider bi-facial on a tracker. I need to try this

    Victron is Over-priced Eurotrash. Why would anybody buy Victron over an AiO?

    Yeah, the BT hardware (and/or kernel driver) in the RPi is flaky, it will hard lock occasionally, and the only way to recover is to reboot.

    Victron is Over-priced Eurotrash. Why would anybody buy Victron over an AiO?

    I've used a lot of the Epever 20a, and 30a in remote IOT applications. To this day they are all running, never had a problem. Now that being said I had a 60a Epever for my own personal use, it died in 3 months of use. Never got a response back from Epever. I've since switched mostly to...

    Victron is Over-priced Eurotrash. Why would anybody buy Victron over an AiO?

    Yeah, I haven't found the time to continue work on it ATM. I think the Louisvdw repo now has bluetooth, so you might try that. BTW if anyone is interested in my repo I added a Virtual battery driver so you can series multiple batteries, and show up as one. I have two 12v batteries in my garage...

    That's pretty nice. I have not heard from LVGOO yet, maybe I can email them. Thanks

    Budget 12V 100AH LiFePO4, LiTime vs Power Queen?

    I suspect these brands are just that, a brand. Seems there's a single factory that churns all these out, and the brands can choose the models the factory offers to slap their name on, and market it. Just speculation on my behalf, but there is so much in common from the actual components, the...

    Budget 12V 100AH LiFePO4, LiTime vs Power Queen?

    FWIW I find the exact same components in most of these manufactures. I've even found a BMS that is silk screened "Li Time" in a Timeusb battery. Have a look

    Victron Smart Shunt vs Unknown brand - Looks identical

    They sure did copy the styling off Victron. But yeah, it's not compatible with any Victron communications. If I could find time, I considered writing a Venus OS dbus driver.

    SOK batteries in parallel won't fully charge

    Based on the voltages, both batteries look to be charged. Looks like the SOC tracking/calculation is not great. This can happen if you have small loads drawing power, and it's exacerbated with multiple batteries in parallel since the small loads are even smaller when you split that between...

    Slightly punctured pouch cell still good? Let’s see!

    I remember that video. Did you seal it back up? Seems like it might be ok if it's sealed preventing the electrolyte from drying up. But yeah, I'd be afraid to use that indoors man ?

    Daly BMS Faulty - Depotted and diagnosed

    See if you can get them to send you the source code for the firmware :). I know that sounds far fetched, but I have gotten manufactures to send firmware source.

    400W LFP-backed balcony power plant

    Sweet! I can't tell, are you switching PV input from the MPPT to the Micro Inverter? I have a bunch of Enphase IQ7+ Micro, that I plan to feed DC from my batteries to dump into my home. I'll setup something to monitor my incoming grid so that I don't export.

    ECO-WORTHY 1500W 24V -> 115V experiences? $200

    I've already sent it back. MPPT's that can start with PV voltage absent battery have an auxiliary DC/DC converter (separate from the main MPPT DC/DC section) This converter takes the high PV voltage down to 3.3v, or 5v to run the micro-controller that runs the main DC/DC, and the MPPT...

    ECO-WORTHY 1500W 24V -> 115V experiences? $200

    It may be a fine unit, I dunno. If you buy one ignore the sticker that says 100vdc, and section in the manual that says 80vdc. DO NOT EXCEED 75v VOC Here's the video:

    ECO-WORTHY 1500W 24V -> 115V experiences? $200

    Yeah, fried the second one. I would stay far away from 75v to be safe. Video coming soon.
