Awesome, that may explain why the SolarMan app shows me producing power back to the Grid when It has no PV or Battery hooked up, just the input from the main panel powering it =o) I still have yet to get the firmware updated and get the latest menu settings so I can get this thing commissioned.

Anyone hooked that unit up for Grid Tie? I have one (have not installed it) and wanted to see if I could wire it for self consumption, selling power back to the grid when I am not using it for loads, then charging the battery as needed.

when using the R8KL1NA 48V as a grid tie solution, is there anyway you can (even if manual) configure the until to use Battery when the Utility Grid goes down? I realize you would need a transfer switch or the equivalent to isolate the utility grid so you don't back feed to the grid.

Since the VOC on the panels is 85v so to optimize the panels (shading) I will be wiring each string in parallel. This increases the current but keps the voltage the same, likewise the min input on the Growatt is 150v

understood, was trying to use it like a grid tie but from what I read that's never mentioned as an option. Wanted to be Grid Netural yet not have to move all the loads to a separate load panel tied into the output of the inverter.

That sounds like what I want. Do you have a schematic of how you wired this up that you don't mind sharing? I am trying to make sure I have my head wrapped around this (fits my needs) before I go drop close to $10,000 on a SCC =o)
