Mismatched panels, Do I have this right?

I’m upgrading the solar capacity on my camper. I found a deal on a couple 320w panels yesterday. I have 2x100w panels now. I’m trying to figure out if I should keep the 100’s or not. The 320 panels are 36v and the 100 are 20.4. If I’m understanding everything correctly I could parallel the...

Charging 12v and 24v batteries from single mppt and dump load water heater.

That is what I’m trying to do, but the 24v battery will Not always be plugged into the solar controller. A 24-12v battery to battery charger is essentially an over priced cc/cv buck converter that regulates current. Why spend $$$$ when a $30-$60 part will do exactly the same thing.

Charging 12v and 24v batteries from single mppt and dump load water heater.

I have 2 lfp batteries I would like to charge from a single charge controller. A 12v/150ah and a 24v/304ah. The 12v system runs my trailer electrical system and currently uses a SBSM0 with 2 12v 100 watt panels. The 24v system is used to recharge our electric dirt bikes and is a mobile system...

    BMS as primary LVD?

I considered a one but they advised against inverters and large current inrush devices. Would one work for this?

    BMS as primary LVD?

I’m building 8s 304ah storage battery to power boost converter chargers for dc to dc charging of electric dirt bikes. The boost converters do not have a low voltage disconnect. I’m thinking I should have a primary LVD and use the bms as redundant. It would be up to a 100amp load. Is there an...

New JBD BMS compatible Bluetooth App

I know this is resurecting an old thread, but I can't find any other contact info for the developer. Great App! It does almost everything that is needed. I ran into a situation today I needed to use the Xiaoxiang app for. After discharging my new battery for the first time the AH gauge needed to...

    Multiple battery complexity

Hello all I’ve got an odd ball situation and I’m trying to figure out the best solution. I have a travel trailer with a 4s 150ah battery running an ElectroDacus sbms0 with a dssr20 and 200 watts 12v solar. When camping we generally ride our electric dirtbikes. The bikes have a total of...

Using 340w and 260w panels together?

I good deal on 2 pairs of used panels came up today, two 240w and two 260w. Looking at the spec sheets I think these would work well in a 2s2p configuration. 340w panel 260w panel Vmpp 38.3v 30.7v Impp 8.88a 8.5a Voc 46.1 37.8v Isc 8.5a 9.5a I'm not as well versed on...

Battery capacity vs Solar capacity value EV toyhauler

We have transitioned our whole family from gas the electric dirt bikes. For the most part it's been great. Accept at the end to the day when it's time to recharge while camping. For the last season and a half I've been using an EU2000i to charge 2 bikes at a time. Between the 4 bikes we have a...

    Bus Bars for Paralleled cells

I'm about to pull the trigger on 16 230AH cells to build a 2p8s 460AH 24v battery. At one point I saw a post about bus bars for parallel cell configurations and can't find it anymore. Is it worth getting "3 Hole" bus bars or should I just stack the included bars on the middle connection? I know...

    Dacon Power experiences

I’m looking to rebuild my storage system in my camper to accommodate charging out 4 electric motorcycles with needing a generator. I’m likely going to build at 560ah 24v system. I’ve read some positive reviews of powerwholesale.net/Dacon Power. I was getting more info about how to place the...

Upgrading toy hauler solar and battery to charge eletric toys

Well you bring up a good question, I had imagined it being a replacement. Yes I know I would need at converter for the existing system. Each bike will need it's own converter/charge controller regardless of the battery voltage.

Upgrading toy hauler solar and battery to charge eletric toys

I've toyed with that idea too. The down side is mainly cost and complexity. I really like the simplicity of the Eletrodacus system and it only supports 8s systems.

Upgrading toy hauler solar and battery to charge eletric toys

Hello all I'm investigating the best way to charge our eletric motorcycles while camping without a generator. We have 4 bikes with a total of just under 7k WH of capacity. I'm looking to build a system that has enough capacity to recharge all 4 bikes from dead overnight. Realistically it's...
