    Anker 767 test

P.S. One concern is that the app didn't show any problem when system was in over-voltage mode with 4 panels. I couldn't see front panel in the sun - it might have been blanked out. I will check this on next test when adapter cables arrive.

    Anker 767 test

I am enjoying new 767 with expansion battery. I just finished test and here are my results: I ran refrigerator and small deep freezer overnight on the 767 and next day the expansion battery was at 1% and the main unit at 73%. I started Recharge using (3) 200-watt NewPowa solar panels. It was 3...

    Grid-Tie solar power ethics

Blew my mind when I first saw grid-tie means you have no power in an outage- My primary reason for considering solar! ? I'd avoid any contact with power companies.

Plummeting solar installs due to tariffs - how bad will outages be?

    Cpap battery backup

I have a Jackery 500 as CPAP backup - the humidifier is what really sucks the power so you need to actually test it with humidifier or figure on leaving that off for backup situations.

    Annoying forum behavior.

One technique that might work is to put just a dot on blank line . like that - extra effort but leaves a space . if it works

    Permits, sorry to ask

For the most part, I believe code enforcement is done on a complaint basis, so if it's not a glaring violation and no neighbors have a grudge with you.......

    Backup power scenario

I abandoned the multi-panel cart idea as too unwieldy and am now making individual frames transportable by hand truck for flexibility. Here is the solar generator as of today

EcoFlow Delta Pro - what they don't tell you and why I hope Bluetti can deliver

I like my Jackery's and Eco Delta (not pro) as more tools in the belt, something I could loan to friends/neighbors and then charge back up for them. Also tested fine for powering fridge and freezer for about 7 hours- longer than most outages and able to get you quietly thru the nite before going...

Basic setup but no need for more ATM

Yes, the setup I'm doing for my house is primarily for power-fail scenarios and I do not plan on running furnace, water heater, Air Conditioner, washer/dryer etc. It doesn't take much propane to cook and heat a small space in (I've done it before). I was at a box store yesterday and saw 10-pound...

Are there any LiFe batteries that just "Work"? (a bit of a vent)

Yes, Redneck, I took the plunge and joined LifePO4 cult - still haven't decided what voltage I'll do as I keep ordering more batteries/panels - 4th of each is on the way. Better not burn my house down!

    Backup power scenario

Thanks, Chris. I just assembled the harbor freight wagon I'm using as base for the panel cart. Ever build a sailboat in your cellar? (I can always knock out a wall) The theory was 3 panels on this cart but it looks like maybe (2) 200-watt panels on 2 carts would be much less unwieldy for only a...

    Backup power scenario

Oh, the batteries are gonna stay in the dining room with a board for controller etc. - only the solar panels will be on mobile cart to be hidden. I'll have quick disconnect outside with solar connector in weatherproof box.

    Backup power scenario

I thinking of using my new LifePO4 battery bank as backup power only, with solar panels on a cart I keep in garage and only roll out as needed. I am charging each new battery now one at a time. I'll set it all up and test with inverter & solar panel charging and then I could just save all those...

To all who are thinking of a doing a group buy:

To be fair, the quality control of Chinese products can be very sketchy. I see one electronic item after another on Amazon that have high review ratings but the Latest ones say, 'these used to be good but now they're junk'. I've experienced that myself even buying from same vendor repeatedly. I...
