Say we have the Multiplus creating our N/G bond and is feeding a main service panel from the AC out. Do all EGCs from equipment enclosures, solar panel frames, etc. run back to the Multiplus or can they be terminated in that service panels grounding busbar?

I think I’d get SCC(s) that were appropriately sized for my specs. You can still over size your array for your needs without over paneling the SCC.

Ahh I see what youre asking now. The SCC will see a short circuit when the panels short circuit. So technically if there’s never a short circuit I would assume everything would work fine and just clip the excess power above 20A. If you’re worried about damage to the SCC just add a 20A fuse...

Max short circuit current for that 100/20 controller is 20A. I’d stay under that so you don’t risk damage to the controller.

I do have DVCC set to max 150a charge but I thought that limited the charge controllers from producing more than 150a for some reason. I just messed around with it does seem I can allow more than 150a from charge controllers while still limiting the battery from charging above 150a.

I would think 200-500watts of dissipation would be fairly significant in heat inside the multiplus. I love my Blue gear and still think it’s superior to a lot of other brands but what a bummer seeing all that wasted power.

My multiplus is only about 75% efficient which was a big surprise from their 95% stated efficiency. When AC out reads 1000w my shunt reads about 1350w being drawn from the battery bank on the VRM.

Do you have the Dynamic Current Limiter setting clicked on the MP? This helps allow the generator respond better to large surge loads. Also, try turning off the UPS Function.
