Keeping LiFePO batteries warm in the winter....

💯% agreed. Also very true trying to keep them warm constantly when it is sub-freezing temps 24-7 outside which it usually is in the winter at 7,000' in Colorado winters. I feel this solution has addressed ambient temperature for me before it ever gets to be a problem & is easily scalable with 1...

Keeping LiFePO batteries warm in the winter....

Nice, that is pretty interesting; definitely something to think about. While it may be more energy efficient for 1 battery, with 6 batteries to heat it may not be as cost effective? Also while it initially sounds good in theory, since it doesn't really effect the ambient temperature of the room...

    EG4 14.3kWh PowerPro WallMount AllWeather Lithium Battery | 48V 280Ah

It's really not a big deal, driveline not a drama. The batteries have no problem discharging below 32⁰F... but the BMS will not allow them to charge. I honestly think between the insulation, fridge/ freezer & the inverter that the heater rarely comes on. It's mainly just a backup. That said...

Keeping LiFePO batteries warm in the winter....

As noted in a recent thread, I recently bought 1 PowerPro & plan on buying 2 more to add to our system once the house is finished. Obviously these all have built in heaters. However, I also 6 LifePower4's that need to be kept warm that are kept in my insulated solar utility room which is kept...

    EG4 14.3kWh PowerPro WallMount AllWeather Lithium Battery | 48V 280Ah

In all for this & recently bought 1 PowerPro & plan on buying 2 more. That said it's kinda what I did for my 6 LifePower4's. I wired an additional outlet in my insulated solar utility room where the inverter & batteries are. I then plugged a $15 Thermocube plug (powers on 35⁰-45⁰F) & then put...

    EG4 Communications Hub (Best Practice)

Which is really the same case with things like the 6500EX's & LifePower4's. Correct?

    Sodium battery VS Lifepo4 battery

LiFePO's catching on fire?!? 🤣🔥🤣🔥🤣 A) The batteries that have a history of catching fire & burning uncontrollably is Lithium Ion...NOT LiFePO's...totally different animal & chemistry B) Not to say it can't or hasn't happen with LiFePO's but it's a pretty rare occurrence considering how many...

    EG4 PowerPro vertical stacking?

Totally awesome! 👍 👌 Please keep me (us) posted.

    EG4 PowerPro vertical stacking?

Hmmm... thinking about this a bit more. I think they're needs to be some kind of framed/case that allows you to stack one above the other & still maintain spacing. Preferably with a conduit wiring box that opens in the front & back etc.

    EG4 PowerPro vertical stacking?

That was what I was looking to find out @EG4_Jared . Thank you for weighing in.

    EG4 PowerPro vertical stacking?

    I like it, thank you

    EG4 PowerPro vertical stacking?

Thank you. There are no inspections, besides septic, where I live so code is pretty irrelevant for me. However, safety & hence insurance coverage is. Any extra cost of wire is also a concern for sure...I do already have the cold crimping tool. I think I'm just going to have see how it fits when...

    EG4 PowerPro vertical stacking?

12" between is totally doable. I'm just hoping to stack one on top of another.

    EG4 PowerPro vertical stacking?

Gotcha, that is an interesting idea but nearly 310# a piece is a bit concerning to mount & then to have hanging there X3-4. I was thinking more of having them stacked on top of each other. The first question is can the one under take the weight of the one above. Next, as others noteisif...

    EG4 PowerPro vertical stacking?

Just trying to minimize horizontal real-estate.

    EG4 PowerPro vertical stacking?

I apologize if this had been discussed but have not seen this question addressed in my searches. I have just one currently, but in the end, I plan to have atleast 3 PowerPros. At nearly 310#, 35"x22.3"x9.1", the EG4 PowerPros are very stout batteries to say the least. With them being nearly 3'...

    Hydraulic Table Cart?

Thx. I think I'm going to get one sooner than later. I'm really not looking forward to placing & hanging my 300# PowerPro's or my 18kPV by myself. Also with my new 40'x40' free span garage/ shop, I think it will be handy to have around.

    EG4 Communications Hub (Best Practice)

Thank you! Appreciate the video. Coincidentally, I had ordered a Hub earlier this week... hadn't arrived yet. I'm currently running 6 Lifepower4's & 1 6500EX & 5.6kW bifacials. I have a 18kPV & 1 PowerPro sitting in the box for the house we are building. The plan is to add a 6000XP & 2 more...

SOLD: New, unused, in the box EG4 6500EX. $675 plus shipping. (SW, Colorado)

Just sent you a direct message about shipping & payment. That said, I don't ship things much but what I can tell via UPS & USPS...UPS is the cheapest. The USPS price did not include insurance or signature where the UPS does. BTW it is in its factory padded box 30"x22"x10" that weighs about 42#.

Basically your pot, pan or griddle becomes the element. Perfectly even heat with no hot spots & it automatically adapted to the width.

EG4 48v PowerPro all weather batteries (two) 28K...OR...EG4-LL (six) 30K rack mounted.....with (two) 6000XP inverters

Good to hear, thank you! Especially considering the Lifepower4's (6) have been your greatest workhorse & the PowerPro's (3) likely will be. Please keep me posted, I'm pretty invested with these & a 18kPV & a 6000XP.

    Electric oven

💯% agree... clean up is a cinch. Heck you can clean up WHILE you are cooking & not steam/ scorch your self with a wet rag while cleaning. Not to mention the other safety aspects. Instant on, instant off, instant higher or lower temperatures. So much safer with kids! I could have boilng water on...
