    Thank YOU....

it is a very interesting process for me, folowing the instruction, making a mistake then can't see it in the first look. Then after some time, found it and can't blame no one but me :D I am going to buy IR camera to find all that weak connections, as the outcom from loose connection could be a...

    inverter repair

Especially including PB free soldering on large surfaces near mosfets. Most "home" soldering unitcs can't deal with it. this guy has a lot interesting videos regarding inverter repair/diagnostics: https://invidious.fdn.fr/watch?v=_-GNPwH83rY https://www.youtube.com/@ALayoubiMaintenanceCenter

    inverter repair

With all mosfet repalement, there is a need to chek components around. As mosfet is damaged it allows current to flow in any direction. It is important to validady keying signals and passive elements around it. I will recommend googling some videos so the new mosfet life will not be in danger. I...

    HA on RPi?

I was killing a SD card a week, having only connected 2 inverters and a few temperature sensors :D. Raspi is great if you really have to store a few measuremnts per hour in my opinion, unless you can connect a HDD/SSD (been threre too). I had many versions of HA installed, starting from running...

    Junktec software

hey! You did a great job bringing those measurments into HA! Now the question is how one can consume this data? In most cases we want to get an alert when something goes wrong (cell voltage to low or to high), or simply create a card to see if our battery is charged so we can see the charge...

3 batteries with JK BMS not even

those bms'es are reseting to 100% SOC when a cell reach OVP (over voltage protection). this thread have a bunch tips and knowledge: https://diysolarforum.com/threads/how-to-setup-right-parameters-jk-bms.48075/

    Junktec software

Great work! just put a simple password in front of your website - will save you some troubles. next to show battery SOC (to display percent) the LCD screen is publishing :R51=1,2,1 command, that reads device settings.

    Junktec software

btw do you have the jutek lcd screen? the software part it is challenging, but step by step we can have something working for you. do you have putty? - that will be a first thing to establish connection over rs485.

    Junktec software

if you have RPI then no need to tie it to windows, mqtt server (like mosqitto) is very light (runs well on RPI) and can allow for more integrations.

    RS-485 Porn on Junteks Monitors

the protocol is easy, there is a need for rs485 dongle/hardware if used arduino my code to read data using arduino is here: https://gist.github.com/profesor79/9b311399e0894a3b8b3d9167f6f34a00

    Junktec software

their software hangs up after around 45 minutes (tested on Samsung an other andiroid phone) -then you need to kill it and start. The rs-485 interface works well, there is esp home implementation: https://github.com/tfyoung/esphome-junctek_kgf As I burned my rs485 port I connected esp32 directly...

Solar assistant: do you use it?

As software architect I will say: why to bother with all of that? I have Home Assitant, data feeds directly from most of my sensors to time based database (influxDB), alerting in Grafana (including mobile notificatoins) automatons in NodeRed, and HomeAssistant for my family so they can switch...

Unintended consequences of Solar that we see

I think I got it the addicted part of it. Going over some disaster and lessons for the future (smoked two inverters working in parralell, lost panels due to weak construction that did not survived storm). From other point a nice learning in many areas including electronics and IT. Got grafana...

    Relays for 48v system

As you will be driving the coil by ESP32 then we have a need to drive the coil at around 3.3V. As the max current is 2A - we don't need to use a "MONSTER" to switch it on/off, so honestly I will rather use a bi-stable module like this: https://es.aliexpress.com/item/1005001718085663.html with a...

how to sync charging with grid-tied inverter?

I have a question regarding a grid tied inverter conneced with energy storage via AC coupling. I'd to understand a way how the system shall work in a real time conditons, where we would like to max out self consumption and reduce energy draw from the grid. During a day sun is not giving a...

hey I had to re-do my board as did it without proper electrical connections Tonight I installed it - and will be working on nice dash to see how it is going. But for now my 6 charge controllers are visible in Home Assistant.

Do PWM controllers/dimmers cause EMI noise? Alternatives?

Light flicker can be very disturbing for ppl with autism spectrum (or other stuff), as this is something that draws their attention and overloads their sensors - and here I am talking about very small filckering that most of us need to focus on the bulb to see it...

    RS-485 Porn on Junteks Monitors

I just had a look at the board picture and it looks like bluetooth can be a separate chip. So the question will be what soft there is needed to talk to the phone app... I will rather go with the esp web server than trying to reverse engineering this solution.

    RS-485 Porn on Junteks Monitors

hey that looks a bit different as probabbably you would like to use the app to connecte to the device - so that's something different that I did. My goal was to inject data to home assistant (and as I fried rs-485 chip) i just "replaced it" with en esp32 with mqtt. So in fact you could use...

Is cerbo really needed? (Fronius Primo 8.2 and Victron multiplus 5k)

Hey! I am helping my colleague to add Victron Multiplus to his grid tied PV inverter (Fronius) as he wants to raise his autoconsuption and save more on bills. The thing is that we are not sure if cerbo is needed in this setup, as it rather looks like monitoring solution to add Fronius to it, but...

Easun (and others) 6048 charger smart interface

I made a decision to reflash them all. It is one-off operation. What cameout of this operatin that some of the sockets are using esp8266, but the firmware was upgraded so was not able to do cloudcutter on them. For ESP will use ESPHome, as was struggilng with Tasmota to get the devices...

    Wifi push notification

not sure if I understand the need, do you need something that will notify you when there is an alarm or there is no power?
