    EG4 6500EX - Single PV or both PV's

Got one. Tried that last year. I like the fact that when hooked up to just solar it doesn't take away from the inverters but as soon as some cloud cover comes by the mini split doesn't run full tilt, it starts to throttle. I'd rather just have the mini split hooked up to the inverters and it'll...

    Boviet Bifacial Solar Panel

While cleaning up my disaster of a mess from all the wire remnants with all the electrical work over the last few days, I noticed that I didn't spread the load evenly across the breaker panel. I jostled a few breakers around and now the total load is close to 50/50 as I can get. The host...

    Boviet Bifacial Solar Panel

I just purchased (16) Boviet 450 bifacial panels a few weeks ago. Just got all 16 of them up and running the other day after relocating my solar array. First impressions... Not impressed - not yet anyways. Old system - (10) Solarever 455 watt panels in a single EG4 inverter configuration. New...

    Solarever 455w

I have to apologize to the forum, I haven't got this done yet. We've had a rash of brush fires down by me, even had my own fire. Burned up 12 acres around my house and RV. Fire got within 8feet of my house. I've been in panic mode ever since trying to get my property better protected against...

    Solarever 455w

Ah yes, I did. I've been running around trying to get my new solar panels up and running, kinda got sidetracked with that and some other stuff that popped up. I'll post that info up as soon as I can. Within the next day or two should be able to get that done.

    EG4 6500EX - Single PV or both PV's

Yes I do have (2) EG4 6500EX's I didn't have the second inverter hooked up because the system was only a temporary install until I got ALL of the panels I needed for the planned permanent system. My plan was to run 4 strings at 8 panels per string for the final system configuration. Inverter...

Anyone in the US still on the Starlink wait list?

During our monsoon season here the Starlink was unfazed by the amount rain that came down. Even the sandstorm we had down here last year, never missed a beat.

Anyone in the US still on the Starlink wait list?

Oh yeah, there's absolutely nothing around it. The only thing that might obstruct the path is some curious sort of wildlife sniffing around. Who knows what runs, crawls and slithers around down here at night.

    EG4 6500EX - Single PV or both PV's

Can someone please clarify the pro's / con's of using a single PV input or both PV inputs on the EG4 6500EX inverter? I just purchased a pallet of Boviet 450W Bifacial PV panels (up to 540W). Up until yesterday I was using both PV inputs on a single EG4 6500EX inverter. Had 10 Solarever 450W...

Anyone in the US still on the Starlink wait list?

My Starlink satellite receiver is sitting on the ground right next to my solar panel array. :) Makes easy to clean the 1/4" of dust off it every month.

I forgot we had YouTube TV for while too! Don't remember what that was but the first rate hike we dumped it!

Anyone in the US still on the Starlink wait list?

We were paying upwards near $300 a month between cable, internet, and 2 streaming services Netflix and Amazon Prime. Now the only thing we have to worry about is Starlink and Prime. My wife says the Prime is $130 per year so between Starlink and Prime that's $138 per month. I can live with that...

Anyone in the US still on the Starlink wait list?

I'm in Pinal County AZ. We were on the wait list for about 5 months when our stuff showed up. We got our Starlink early 2023. Considering the only (3) total options for me were Hughes Net, ViaSat and Starlink. For me it was a no brainer. I've been very impressed with the service Starlink has...

Solarever 455 watt panels - interest generator

Shortly here I will be putting my (10) Solarever 455 watt panels up on the used market. I've used these panels now for the better part of 9 months. There is nothing wrong with them. They are in pristine condition. The only reason I will be selling them is they are not available anymore and I am...

    Solarever 455w

I've got some info on Solarever panels that I would like to share as a response to the previous posts. I need to find my emails so I can accurately relay this information. I'll be back this weekend and update. For warning, it's not good news.

Looking for a handful of large panels. Is this legit?

The Bluesun logo in the first picture doesn't match the authentic Bluesun name logo. I'd be very wary of this.

    WTB: Solarever Panels near Maryland

Not that it matters anymore, I was able to get an odd number of Solarever panels (14) when I purchased mine. I went and picked them up at their warehouse though. Maybe that's why they let me get away with that.

    WTB: Solarever Panels near Maryland

FYI As of a few weeks ago San Tan Solar is no longer allowed to sell Solarever Panels. I purchased my first set of Solarever 455watt panels from them about 4 months ago. Called them last week inquiring about the Solarever 550-560watt panels. That's when I was told they are no longer allowed to...

High End Audio powered by Solar vs Grid

I'm running a pair of refurbished / enhanced Adcom's GFA-5802's. Class A at low levels and Class A/B everything above. All of the system components are exactly the same as before. I don't proclaim to hear the difference between a $100 RCA cable vs a $1k RCA cable. However, there are a few...

High End Audio powered by Solar vs Grid

Here's how my small brain thinks about this. As far as I know, the vast majority of (if not all) all grid power is generated by some type of rotary generator which produces pulses. Plus as the power travels along countless miles of grid cable the power gets dirtier and dirtier down the line...

High End Audio powered by Solar vs Grid

Does anyone here have high end audio that used to run off grid and now is solar powered? Do you notice a difference in audio quality (musical detail)? Call me crazy but I swear my audio rig sounds different running on solar than it did on grid power. I've got some theories but I'm not nearly...

Setting up one set of panels for two different Air conditioners

I traded for the EG4 24k unit. I don't actually have it yet. It's on Pre-Order from Signature Solar. According to the 24k spec sheet: 90-350 Volts DC Max power is 3500 Watts compared to 1700 Watts for the 12k unit. FYI The 24k unit requires 208-230 Volts AC if hooking up to AC power.

Setting up one set of panels for two different Air conditioners

FYI I had the 12k btu unit for a few weeks. I traded it in for the 24k btu unit. The only reason for the trade was buyers remorse. Nothing wrong with 12k btu unit.

Setting up one set of panels for two different Air conditioners

I had this exact same unit. When hooked up to PV panel power only the indoor unit would turn the fan on (exactly what voltage I don't know but in the 80's volt range) and the outside unit (compressor) wouldn't turn until it hit 93 volts DC minimum. If you have any shade the system will not run...

EG4 Battery Server Rack - 6 Battery Version

Continuing on... Positive busbar reversed. Batteries installed. The left side gets kind of crowded with the busbar and the communication cables. Hopefully they make some revisions further down the road to clean that up a bit. The other thing about these busbars; they need to be about 6...

EG4 Battery Server Rack - 6 Battery Version

Just wanted to share some input (and my opinion) on the EG4 LL Server Rack I just received. I didn't get a picture when the pallet arrived at my work, but the unit was mounted to the pallet upside down and now there's a portion of the top surface that's bent. Not a showstopper but it's just one...

    Vendor support

Days? Yeah, a couple of days short of a month. By the time they got back to me I forgot what the issue was. To say the least. I'm the process of writing an essay ranting about their lack luster support and overall customer service.

    EG4 6500EX-48 Inverter Issues

Yes DIP switch settings are a must. Each battery is set to the DIP setting per the manual with a quantity of (4) batteries. These are my settings per the manual.

    EG4 6500EX-48 Inverter Issues

So, coming back around to this… I’ve been reluctant to post about this again, but my level of frustration is through the roof. I’ve tried numerous times to communicate with batteries and the inverter with no success. Even tried a different laptop, same results. The message I get says “cannot...

Off-Grid Ranch in Northern Arizona - Send me your resume!

Still off topic... I just read through this thread. What you guys are doing is basically the same as what my wife and I are doing except, we have a very modest 3.5 acres about another 20 or so miles south of Maricopa. We started out with around $100k and with all of the prices reaching in some...

    EG4 6500EX-48 Inverter Issues

Yes I acknowledge. I was using the USB to CAT cable to try and hook up to the inverter. There's no confusion with the green cables.

    EG4 6500EX-48 Inverter Issues

Well now, there's my problem. I'm using the cable with USB to CAT (the one the right in your video) to try and connect. I don't remember seeing the cable that has the serial end on it in any of the boxes. I've only got the short green CAT5 cables and the black cable (USB to CAT) that's on the...
