Well, I unplugged them Wed. night, never got out of bed yesterday. I have an extremely bad back, and there's just some days.....:poop: Plugged in this morning, and cells 3-8 are balanced @3.65v. Cells 1-2 are slowly coming up, sitting at about 3.4v.

Everything is working now, but I just noticed that they're actually Li-Ion batteries. [/facepalm]

I see a lot of people charge these modules as LiFePo4, yet the sticker shows the chemistry as LiPo. :unsure:

So do I charge it as a LiPo/4.2V, or change the chemistry setting to LiFe/3.6V?

I re-wired it last night before bed just like DouglasHHI instructed me, worked like a charm. I'll let it sit and balance out, then I re-wire it with slightly more robust wires. I don't have moronic moments, it last for weeks and weeks. Thank you for the instructions!

Exactly what I have. Except the red wire is the last #8 pos. Very first wire is main ground. Tomorrow I'll rip it all out and start over. I can't even get the balance charger to recognize 8s configuration.

My apologies! Cell #1 is closest to front battery terminals. Voltages written are each cell pack, and I was able to get a reading from cells 1-8, starting at 3.2, for cell #1, then increasing the same amount for each cell, for a total of 26.4'ish volts. I'm using 30v/5a power supply for the...

Well, I hooked up my ISDT Q8, and all I get is "Abnormal Cells Voltage" warning screen. Reads 26.4 volts though! Need to learn how to check each cell individually.

My saying is, "I don't know what I'm doing, but it'll be badass when its done!". I did these stairs this summer on a house we inherited. I've never done stairs. I'm more of a 2x4 and plywood type of guy! Except for the risers, I built these stairs by hand. Lots of mistakes, but I made them work!

That's a good question! I'm dumber than a 2x4! I want to build a 24v system. I want to build it using the 'raw' cells. Sixteen will give me 2 sets 8@12v parallel would be 24v., 280ah?

Can I use an AC breaker for shut-off only purposes between PV panels and charge controller? Between the breaker and charge controller would be DC protection. :unsure: Thank you, Dan.
