I have a spare diesel motor of 38 KW and a spare generator that can output 40KW 3phase; 250V 350Hz @ 2000rpm with adjustable voltage.
If I mount everything in a set I might be able to charge my 48V 30KW batteries during long cloudy weather.
Power from the grid costs 0.33$ /KWh here. One charge would cost around 10$.
I guess the diesel would consume +-6 liter/hour to output 30KW. That costs 4.65$.
Does anyone know the real cost per KWh for a diesel generator (maintenance excluded)?
