Hi all,

I purchased 28 of 305ah batteries from 18650 store when they had them marked down to $79 ea. I'm replacing the lead acid batteries in a scissor lift that is 36V and a boom lift that is 48V. On 18650 battery store website, they say that the JK B2A24S20P can be configured for 8S-24S, but the manual that I found only shows it doing 13S-24S. Has anyone actually configured a JK BMS for 36V? If it isn't possible, what other BMS would support 12S? Also, I know JK has the new B2A20S20P. Is there any advantage of the B2A2S24P over the B2A20S20P other than doing 4 more strings? Since I only need 16S for the 48V, I see no point in spending more money for more string capacity that isn't needed.

Thanks

So no replies after 24hr? Does that mean no one is reading my post, or no one knows the answer? I suppose it could be some of both? lol

JK bms should determine the number of cells by the highest number cell it gets a bms voltage reading.

This assumes you have the bms sense wires connected in proper order.

So you're saying that it will support 12S (36V)? I didn't see anything in the manual I found that mentioned how to wire it for 12S. It had wiring diagram that went from 13S to 24S only.

the JK B2A24S20P will support any number of cells from 8 to 24. With a 36v system, you will have 12 unused sense wires.
