Dear all,

In the Netherlands, together with a friend, we are asking how many KW solar panels we want to have, what the specification of the inverter should be for the panels series (string way); given the less favorable net metering (saldering) in 2025 (now the Net is a gigantic battery but slowly we need to have our own battery); and the reduced battery price in 2025-2026.

The most important point for optimization is: how quickly can we earn back.

House 1:
-------------------
in-between house, with thick walls and double glazing, now around 2300 Kw and around 1800m3/year, built in 2007, 4 floors, 150m2 and 600m3 (each floor is 3m high ceiling), energy A+, WTW to all rooms and spaces, 6 bedrooms, living room + kitchen on BG. Radiator in all rooms. CV is now on 3rd floor, the kitchen on BG is often the coldest room where there is now only a small radiator. (A) Ideas for the future: Infrared on the ceiling of the kitchen, air conditioning in the kitchen, electric floor heating, normal floor heating, heat pump together with CV, etc ... (B) Planning: gradually add more until the house is so low on the meter, in 2026.

House 2:
---------------------
in-between house, now 2500 Kw and 20 Mega Jules / year, built in 2003, 150m2 and 590m3, label also A+ but due to the poorer quality, and no WTW, it may use 20% more gas than House 1 if we also heat with a CV, but now it is on district heating (20 KJ/year). The owner is very economical but will use more energy if the heating is made with solar panels. All radiators are convection, convector pit in the living room (45 M2). (A) Ideas for the future: also as house 1 but the heat pump does not work with district heating and the Airco is perhaps not very energy efficient. (B) Planning: also just like house 1.

2300 kW ! That's a mighty big cannabis farm or crematorium ;)

Did you mean 2300 kWh ? If so, over what time period?
