Hello
I'm retrofitting some old solar garden lights to make them run out of 6VDC (2 leds in // and 47 Ohm resistors)
Each lamp will draw ~0.75 Watts and I'm planning to have 10, so 7.5Wh
But.....I don't want to run a 100 yard wire, bury it, etc...
So I was thinking to have a LiFePO4 12V battery 50Ah close the the lamps (in a weather proof box somewhere in the flower bed)
I will NOT CHARGE the battery when it's outside though....I was thinking to have 2 batteries and swap them (1 in use, and the other one charging inside)
I'm thinking to use a circuit to turn them on at dusk for something like 6 hours. So it would be 6hr x 7.5W= 45W
A 50Ah 12.8V LFP battery is 640Wh, so it should run my lamps for something like 14 days (a 30Ah battery would give me ~8 days)
1) Can I have a LFP battery operating outside (NO charging though) - I live in Michigan...
2) Is my math correct?

Thanks
