Hi,

I have the following solar setup
Inverter: Solax X1-8.0-T-D 8kw
1686918419932.png

3 String of Solar panels on 3 different roofs all facing directly south.
All panels are Longi LR5-54HPB-410M 410W
String 1) 10 Panels (410 x 10 = 4100W)
String 2) 8 Panels ( 410 x 8 = 3280W)
String 3) 6 Panels (410 x 6 = 2460W)
24 in total.
The Solax Inverter has 2 MPP Trackers (PV1 and PV2) which allow 1 string and 2 strings respectively, PV1 = String 1, and PV2 = String 2 & 3 (see photo attached)

I've been testing the strings in different configurations and found that with 2 strings connected to the PV2 MPPT I never pull anywhere near the combined max output power. I've read that the multiple strings per MPP tracker is useful for when you have multiple strings on different elevations, south/west/east etc.
My query therefore, given that all of my panels are on the same elevation and all facing south is whether it would be better for me to just use 1 of the PV2 inputs and wire both (Blue & Red in the above photos) strings in series and just use 1 of the PV2 inputs?

change yours panels to
string 2 = 7 panels
string 3 = 7 panels

Strings 2 & 3 must have the same tilt, direction, slightly different total voltage and slightly different amperage
