Here is the Fortress power UL9540A testing.
According to the paperwork they abuse the batteries with very high temperatures to see what will happen.
Having the right battery will definitely reduce your risk of fire.

They are expensive, but it was the only UL9540A testing I have seen that lists data of how the test was performed.
There are other batteries that are UL9540A certified.
Maybe some of those companies can provide that data too?
Just for clarification UL9540A and UL9540 are too different things.
