Hi,

I have some of these Bad Boys WAGO 285-1185 Terminal Blocks.

At first I thought about using some 50 mm2 wires from the Battery to these (Inverter Side), which is the minimum cross-section supported.

Now I think I will use these near the Inverter for some "Temporary" connections (until I set up the DC Combiner Box basically) plus Precharge Circuit.

Unfortunately there is no easy way to "step down" wire size from this to the smaller WAGO 285-150 (50mm2) or WAGO 285-135 (35 mm2).

The only option is a "Power Tap", but that is only rated 57A and 10 mm2 (16mm2 for the second connection).

I don't really have much place to jumper from a 285-1185 (185 mm2) to a 285-150 (50 mm2), then again down to a 285-135 (35 mm2). I just do not have much space on my DIN rail.

Is it possible and a good idea to just stuff 4 x 35mm2 stripped wires into the big WAGO 285-1185 (185 mm2), then go to 4-5 separate WAGO 285-135 (35 mm2) ?

The small WAGO is rated 125A each so that would be OK for it.

I'm afraid of a bad connection on the big terminal block if I just "stuff them all in".

Yet at the same time, they say Bootlace Ferrules are not needed (maybe not even reccomended) for these terminal blocks.

Any thoughs ? Thanks :)
