Someone accidentally destroyed their 6000XP and decided to disassemble it and shared pics… https://www.facebook.com/share/p/teEAFhGoF9ispctk/?mibextid=K35XfP
Hey guys - thought I would share something I discovered on the 6000xp that's saving me money.
Over the summer/fall months I was running the EG4 3000EHV with 3 of the LL V2 batteries. I would almost always get more solar energy than I could actually use with the loads I'm running off the...
@EG4-Jacob @EG4_Jarrett @EG4_Ty - can you confirm the answer to this question? Many have concluded that the EG4 6000XP can take 17 amps PER MPPT, but others suspect it is 17 amps total between the 2 MPPTs. Resellers like Current Connected have communicated that it is 17 amps PER MPPT - can you...
Just a shout out to EG4 - I see you have fixed the Tigo integration with the EG4 monitoring portal so it is showing all the panels now rather than a random selection of them. Thank you! @EG4-Jacob @EG4_Jared @EG4_Jarrett @EG4_Jaxon @EG4_Ty :)
As a DIY installer, it would be convenient if we can get setup with an "installer" EG4 monitoring account rather than an "end-user" account, so we can access more of the inverter settings through the portal. I contacted EG4 about the possibility of converting my account to an installer account...
I have a lot of concerns about these and would probably never buy them, but it is good to start seeing prices in this sort of range...

I'm currently using the EG4 3000EHV-48 w/ three of the EG4 LL v2 48V batteries, monitored with SA. I'm using it to power various loads in the house. My goal is to reduce my grid usage as much as possible, so I've configured it the best way I can find to do that - configured to charge only...
I'm looking to use one of the ballasted ground mount systems like the Corigy or the PowerField Energy PowerRack system. Due to space constraints in my backyard, I would really like to mount the panels vertically, but the Corigy says it supports 39.5 inch wide panels when mounted vertically, and...
I know a lot of systems - for example the 18kPV, Sol-Ark 15k, etc. - have in their specs a higher inverter output rating when also getting power from solar vs. from batteries only. The 6000XP does not, so I presumed 6000 watts / 3000 watts on either leg was the limit before it would switch to...

Hey guys - I've been looking into home energy monitoring, and I'm curious if anyone has thoughts on the 2 main products I've run across. The Emporia Vue has been recommended by a number of people on the forum, but I also ran across one called Sense that has intriguing features using AI as well...
Anyone hear about this? Another interesting large scale ESS technology - https://www.thecooldown.com/green-tech/columbia-energy-storage-project-wisconsin-carbon-dioxide-grant/
I was surprised to see that the EG4 monitoring portal actually shows some of the Tigo monitoring data. The strange thing is it doesn't show all the panels being monitored - only a seamingly random selection of them. It's not a big deal - I wasn't even expecting to see the Tigo monitoring data...
Anyone have any recommendations on a good outdoor rated emergency shutdown switch? Looking to set one up for my 6000XP. There are a good number of options on Amazon. Does anyone recommend any one in particular or have any examples of ones to avoid, or are all the waterproof ones about the same?
I know the question has been asked and answered many times about having AC and high voltage PV DC lines in the same conduit, but what about low voltage DC signal wire? Can I put signal wire for a shutdown switch in the same conduit as the AC lines between the inverter and the main panel?
I'm pondering possibly getting a Victron autotransformer to balance the loads on the 2 legs from my 6000XP. If the legs were close to perfectly balanced, I would be able to run my electric dryer without needing to get a second 6000XP, as when the dryer runs one of the 2 legs is just enough over...
With the 6000XP manual going through multiple revisions in the past several months (I just noticed it's up to 1.3 now), is there a change log anywhere that would highlight what the changes are between the versions of the manual? @EG4_Jared ?
Anyone else getting inaccurate readings from the Emporia Vue lately? I'm not sure when it started because I don't look at it constantly, but it is reading way more watts than reality - like 3 times higher than the load reported by the inverter and confirmed with my clamp meter. I have 2 Vue's...
I don't see the automation section in Solar Assistant when it is connected to my 6000XP. Am I missing something or does everyone else not see a way to use SA automations with the 6000XP?
