    Just what I needed! Thanks

Hello Phantom. I would love hear something telling me I'm worried about nothing!! I saw Will Prowse's youtube on the chargeverter when it first came out. This was after I'd purchased the inverter. Watch that. It's what made me read more. There is a discussion on this forum somewhere about the...

HI. I haven't found an answer in my search....probably because I'm not sure what I'm asking! I've given up on getting Watch power to work! I have an EG4 6500 inverter, 2 sealed EG4 WP batteries, and a Victron Smart shunt. No communication cables from the batteries to the inverter. I'm assuming...

I'm in Baja Sur and just had a battery brought down. There should be a shipper that picks up at the border somewhere and delivers to you. ACV Logistics in Baja. Not cheap but cheaper than driving up and back.

I get him to try that tomorrow. He's a neighbor but not right next door!

Thanks! Couldn't see a problem but.........

RC. First time with lithium batteries. My understanding, and that's pretty slim at this point, is that the BMS controls how much to give the individual cells. I can set bulk and float points for the inverter but not the sealed batteries. All the cells were, and are, very close...in both...
  • Post in thread: Eg4 waterproof batteries soc

Hola from way off grid Mexico. I have two waterproof 100 amp hour 48 volt batteries and an EG4 6.5 inverter charger. Took some time but they are running our small house. We've been going through state of charge issues with this combo from the beginning. Peak state of charge goes down a bit every...
  • Post in thread: Batteries not charging fully

My neighbor has had a couple 24V 200 amp hour batteries for a couple years. He just added two more and told me they weren't getting over 26.6 volts and goes down to about 26.3 overnight. We've had plenty of sun. 1650 watts of solar from four panels and his outback cc says 27 amps and 80 volts...

Thanks. That's what I was hoping!

Any simple way to run my 12 or 24 volt dc fans?
  • Post in thread: Batteries not charging fully

Thanks. Sound like a panel connection?
  • Post in thread: Batteries not charging fully

Just back from fishing. Thanks for the replies. I was looking at his outback 80 charge controller screen. Volts was 80 and amps out was 27. Didn't go on the roof to look at the panels but he had a pic of the label. Don't remember exact numbers but it was around 45volts and 12 amps per panel...

Sunshine_eggo! In hindsight you are absolutely right. I put in the original system 20 years ago when all the "solar experts" in the area didn't seem to know as much as I did. First lithium experience and I didn't know what protect mode was until they wouldn't power up the inverter. Never enough...

Ok. Starting to wrap my head around this. Sounding easier to get some 48 volt fans. Thanks for the help!
  • Post in thread: Signature solar review

Just tried to leave a review on Signature Solars website re: EG4 6500EX. Wrote my review and SS wrote me back saying I have to join up with something called "JudgeMe" to post? What the actual.... Anyone hear of this?
  • Post in thread: EG4 6500EX and waterproof 48V batteries from Signature Solar

Hi. This forum has been a great help to me! Thanks! I just tried to review my equipment I bought from SS and was kicked to a Judge.me app trying to sign me up for something! I'll review my purchase here I guess. 20 years way off grid in Mexico. This was my first Lithium purchase and I researched...

All good advice if you have the money. Of course, I'm not worried about freezing!

Thanks everyone! I have some reading to do!
  • Post in thread: How to remote connect to your bluetooth devices from anywhere in the world :)

Hi. I have a Victron smart shunt. Bluetooth range is minimal. I have an old android smartphone. If I understand what you've done is get a vnc viewer for the computer and the android app for the phone and I'll be able to read the Victron app? Can I access it from another smart phone? I was...

    Great! Thanks a bunch
  • Post in thread: EG4 6500 dry contact

Hello. I just got my 2 WP eg4 48v batteries connected to my EG4 6.5 inverter and the panel strings hooked up. I've had lead acid and outback equipment for 17 years so this is a big switch! I used to have 3 muffin fans positioned for extra cooling. They were connected to the charge controllers...
  • Post in thread: EG4 6500 dry contact

Quick! So if I connect one wire to C and one to NO and the batteries are at float I should run my fans? Did that yesterday and nothing!
  • Post in thread: Bms balancing question

I have 2 wp eg4 48 volt batteries. They were going into standby at progressively lower voltages. I have been following the threads on this. Signature said to run them down and charge them up for 7 days. (Flooded lead acid...gasp!) Ran them down yesterday and finally shut down...at 2am of...

Thanks! So I need a relay?
  • Post in thread: EG4 6500 dry contact

I need to do more reading! These are 12 volt fans I was using. If I'm understanding the dry contact would trigger an AC device?
  • Post in thread: Smart shunt mounting

Hi. I'm moving my Smart Shunt location. Recent hurricane got things wet close to where it's mounted now. If I mount it upside down it will make routing "cleaner". Anyone see any problem with that? Don't see anything from Victron about it.
  • Post in thread: Bms balancing question

Both on and working fine. My concern was how low the voltage could be before I turned on the inverter. Just above cutoff point I guess. I'll update how the balancing goes. Seems to be a common problem.
  • Post in thread: Batteries not charging fully

Ok. Here's the label off the back of one of the (4) panels. They must be connected 2 parallel 2 series to get 80 volts. He's disconnected the older two batteries. Newer ones (24V 200 amp hour) still are not going over 26.6. High noon sunny all morning. Outback says 80 volts, 27 amps out. Charger...
