Is it ok to set lithium batteries at volt instead of SOC?

We have a set of 6 Pylontech UP5000 batteries for a total of 30kws. If we want to add more batteries to the system, do we need to add more Pylontech UP5000 batteries or can we use another brand imported from China via Alibaba? Thanks for the help

Thanks, but we already have lithium batteries. We are only looking to set the maximum charge to 90%. Your prior message makes me think the Lux inverter has a problem setting the SOC charge to less than 100%.

Thanks for the information. I take away from the discussion would be to add more batteries and thus reduce the electricity coming from the grid. A second option would be to just go off grid, which is not a really good option as the net meter is a benefit to us. Thanks
