Current or Future Solar Power System
I have an old '87 RV I use for hunting and have upgraded the (2) 12v 100ah lead batteries to (2) 12v 100ah LiFePO4 batteries. The RV has the original converter so I know that has to be upgraded to properly charge the LiFePO4 batteries. I am considering the Progressive Dynamics PD9130LV (30-AMPS) model. I also have several 100watt solar panels I want to tie into system. Question is do I still need to upgrade converter if I buy a Victron Energy SmartSolar MPPT 100V 30 amp 12/24-Volt Solar Charge Controller? I will still need the ability to plug into 120v shore power when using generator and camping with hookups occasionally. I apreciate any insight and suggestions. Thank you!
