Hello again all. I just wanted to give you guys an update. I did chance my controller to a larger one, sold the 24v inverter and got a 12v with 1200w. I am happy to say that it now works perfectly. I do wish I would have read more into it before buying anything but I guess that's the price to...
Thank you guys for all the input and suggestions. All of you have been great and I appreciate all your input. I will get a smaller inverter and go from there. I have posted my other one on eBay at a loss for me just to be able to sell it quickly. Have a great weekend.
So I hooked it up as shown and the inverter is kicking into shutdown mode for some unknown reason. I am going to get the 12v inverter and go from there. The controller is giving an overcharging error now that I've switched it to 12v. UGH!!
Its weird because on the inverter diagram it shows to go from the 1st positive to the second negative and as Sunshine showed on the diagram he posted on an earlier post, this is how I have them connected.
Both batteries are 12.5v so I am not sure what you mean which is why I am confused. I have the controller set to 24v because of the 2x batteries being used and not sure if this is correct either.
Thank you very much to all those who have responded and again I apologize for my ignorance. I didn't know anything about anything when it comes to setting this up and all your help is greatly appreciated. I will try selling the 24v inverter and get me a 12v.
Thank you for all the positive and some negative comments. I guess being a newbie and not understanding all the lingo used on here makes it that more difficult for me to understand and for you trying to get me to understand it. I did find something rather unusual. I charged the 1st battery to...
This is what I am worried about. I figured that maybe getting a second panel and a bigger controller would fix this but I don't want to keep spending money if I am not certain that it will.
I put them both on a car charger and they both read at 100% when finished. I'm wondering if the batteries just aren't getting charged enough during the day?
