ADHD OCD mind on a DIY small budget not sure which way to go... Suggestions?

I hope your dog is OK. I wish I had an answer, but I don't. You've got a great attitude for all the stuff that you've been through. Stay positive. Remember the good things in life... you have a fiancé and three beautiful dogs. And thank you for being an EMT. One of the most difficult jobs there is.

Solar Trailer 2.0 for E-bike Camping / Touring - Advice Needed

Wow! I love your creativity and drive! I hope you're still working on this project. Sorry to hear about the Sunpower situation, but I'm not surprised. It seems to me that the weight of any component in your build is number one. Obviously quality is important as well, but I think if you build the...

    Suggestions for additional portable panels?

Jim, Thank you for your input. I like the idea of securing the ground frame with 10" lag screws. That definitely sounds secure! So, you use bungees to hold the panels against the frame rather than bolting them? That's an idea I had not considered but sounds easier if it's secure enough. David

    Suggestions for additional portable panels?

Thank you. I am looking into a simple rack system, but I don't have a lot of room, so I'm hoping to figure a compact design.

    Suggestions for additional portable panels?

Thank you. I really appreciate the information. I don't pretend to know about this stuff and therefore had it designed and installed by an electrician I trust and who has been building solar for quite a while. The extra line from the van has MC4 connectors. I trust this site... I've been...

    Suggestions for additional portable panels?

I have a van with a 330 watt panel on the roof. (62.6"X41.5") At first, I was thinking of buying another panel of the same size (Panasonic SC330) but no one will sell just one. Now I'm thinking of buying two 180-200 watt panels, since I'm likely to deploy them on the ground, anyway. Individually...

    Solar powered class B motorhome

Great build! Heat pumps are the way of our future and mini-splits seem like the perfect solution for any RV. The trailer sounds like a good idea, as weight becomes an issue as system size increases. Happy motoring.

WTB one Panasonic HIT solar panel

Panasonic has discontinued this panel, and they are outsourcing future panels. I'm looking for this particular panel because the size (62.6"x41.5") fits perfectly on top of my van. Or, if you know of a panel with those dimensions, I would be interested. The HIT panel is approximately 330 watts...

    Hello from Santa Cruz (Again)

Yeah, I've been following you for long enough to know about your Monterey Bay connection. I've been in the Santa Cruz area since 1972 (I'm an old fart) and can't leave the coast for too long. I bought a copy of your "Mobile Solar Power Made Easy" quite a while ago. Thank you so much for...

    Side mounted solar?

I think that stealth and theft have a lot to do with why we don't see more. The post above is the best of both worlds... mounted on top, with the ability to aim.

    Hello from Santa Cruz (Again)

I registered my account about 24 hours after the site became active, but I had to re-register today. Oh well, I'm glad to be here!
